My Mam used to make apple batter with left over mix. Just slice cooking apples into dish, pour mix over, cook and sprinkle with a bit of sugar when cooked......yummy :D

my dad when he has left over batter, he adds a bit more flour ( by sight, sorry) till its really thick batter and then mixed in some thawed or tinned sweetcorn. blob in hot frying pan- then flip. YUM sweetcorn fritters :D serve with theroast dinner the textures are really yum.

I actually saw these ready done with a thai dipping sauce in tescos once and they were about 3 quid :rotfl: ridiculous!

    Hi,
I made yorkshire puddings for last night's dinner and I have some of the mix left.
I've kept it in the fridge over night, so I'm sure its fine, but what do I do with it  ??

My yorkshire puddings aren't good enough to make up and freeze  so am I stuck with just having yorkshire pudding for lunch so I don't have to throw it away???

P.S There is probably not enough for a main meal and I'm planning on doing spag bol for dinner tonight anyway...

I can't stand pancakes, but I guess I could do them for the kinders for pudding...why didn't I think of that???
  • I'd amke drop scones and have them as a mid morning snack with maple syrup ;)

I'll add this to an existing thread - more suggestions there :D

I seem to remember Nigella serving yorksire pudding with golden syrup and cream.
My mum used to spread jam on left over yorkies.

In Brittany France, they have a regional dish called Far Bretton which is very similar Yorkshire Puddings with Prunes in it. Its delicious and very cheap to make. I got the recipe off the internet (BBC website I think).
