Left over yorkshire pudding batter

I was quite proud of myself last night.:rotfl: There was loads of batter left over from the yorkshires which would usually be used to make some more, or chucked away.
But last night i thought i would chuck some fresh pineapple that needed eating into an oven tray and covered it in the batter. 10 mins later a yummy pudding that was enjoyed by all!
Nothing to declare ;)

Yum! Making toad in the hole later, maybe I'll make double quantities of batter and do a pud with tinned peaches!

I saw Nigella Lawson make a big Yorkshire pud on the telly. She served it with golden syrup and whipped cream -it looked absolutely gorgeous.

Oh, got sausages in the freezer to try out a toad in the hole recipe (add wholegrain mustard to the batter & a large chunk of cooking apple with the sausages), now am going to do extra for a pudding. would it freeze OK?

I sometimes fill yorkshires with stewed blackcurrants from the freezer-we had a bit of a glut last year-or make pancakes and freeze them.

Fantastic idea for a pudding, will definately have to try it soon.

Usually, if I have too much batter, I make pancakes and freeze them by wrapping them in foil. Thaw naturally, reheat in the microwave or gently in the oven. Kids think it's magic when I produce them out of nowhere, usually breakfast!
