Any CORGI Gas people on here - 7 day gap in Landlord Gas Safety Cert - OK?

I have just rented out my old flat, the gas certificate expires on the 3rd of December but the gas bloke i want to use cannot get there until the 10th - ie 7 days overdue.
He tells me there is a 10 day 'grace' but I can't find anything on the web.
Am I OK or do I need to find another gas bloke pronto?

CORGI has not existed for years, are you sure your 'gas bloke' has current qualifications/ registration?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

CORGI? :rotfl:
GasSafe here.
No, there is no grace period.
Are you sure you know what you are doing?

As I posted I thought 'doh' about the CORGI bit!
I use a letting agent but everything they organise for me seems to cost about double the 'normal' rate so I'm attempting to use local, recommended, gas inspectors rather than the big (expensive) agencies.
The gas engineer I contacted is well reputed - also has good reputation on 'checkatrade'.
I've already trawled through that link but cannot find anything about 'grace' periods.
Annoyed as I know that the letting agent have not yet organised an annual check so probably going to get stung with another big bill.
Really surprised a well reputed inspector would say there is a grace period if there is not one - could land him in a heap of trouble (I have email conformation)0 -

A landlord cannot delegate their legal obligations to a letting agent, the buck stops with you it is you risking court if you break the law. Please read the links in G_M's excellent post carefully.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I assume that if anything happened in that 7 day period I would be liable?
Even if a check was booked in?
Reason I'm so keen to not use the letting agent people is that I also need some minor plumbing completed which their people will no doubt charge heaps for but are too minor to warrant calling a plumber out especially.
G_M are you anything to do with gas or a landlord?0 -

You don't want to arrange a gas engineer, pay him, then find a charge from the agent as they sent one in a day later...
If you don't want them to do something like this going forward, write and tell them.0 -

Just rang - no gaps allowed.
If the tenant chose to report me for the gap then they said they would write me a 'stiff letter'.
Sounds like I need to change gas engineer....
Very nasal voice that could only come from someone working in H&S!|!
Thanks for the help people.0 -
as a long standing landlord my understanding is - i must get my gas appliances/supply/flues etc inspected on, or before, the anniversary of the last Gassafe certificate. I then have 30 days in which to provide the tenant with the certificate - this is to allow the LL legal and reasonable time in which to effect repairs should any applicance fail its inspection. This this 30 days "grace" period is to allow time for the gas engineer to order and get parts forany required repairs.0

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I wondered about my Gas Safety Certificate I should have (as a tenant), and whether my letting agents are acting properly.
When we moved in (a year ago) we did not receive one. (Didn't receive an inventory either, BTW, but thats to my advantage, isn't it?)
In the spring they sent someone round 'to do the annual gas safety check' and I asked the guy if we would get a copy. He said 'No, they just keep it on file in the office'. But at our previous rental with different agent we were always sent a copy. Are the agency allowed to decide not to send tenants copies? Could they get into trouble?
Obviously, they are quite a sloppy agency in general!0
