Ukpc parking charge

By law they can only claim for any actual material damage suffered by a the landowner, not some fancy figure plucked out of the air by the parking company. Anything claimed above that actual loss would be considered an unfair penalty.
Honestly, you are taking this matter far too seriously. Please read some other threads on here that deal with private parking tickets.
To quote someone from another parking forum:-
Private parking companies exist to fleece the motorist.
Their whole business model is based upon speculative invoicing. If a company gives out 100 tickets, a certain percentage of people will unfortunately fall for it there and then.
The remainder are sent 'threatograms' from the parking company and powerless debt collection companies. It's a lucrative business and if 60% of people pay up, a healthy profit is there to be had.

Make no payment.
The landowner is entitled to the financial loss they have actually suffered as a result of your girlfriend's parking, which is zero.
Under trespass laws, only the landowner can pursue any charges, a private parking company cannot. This is the law of the land.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

I said leave it but as you no if its privately owned companies can be hired to give out tickets. I am unable to find out who owns the car park but it is 100% privately owned.
What do you all suggest.... MAKE NO PAYMENT?
If you want to do some research, then just research this board to discover the whole story around PPCs and their unenforceable charges.
Most of all, stop worrying.0 -

Why did you bother to post on this board at all. You have been told time and again how to handle it, and you seem to have ignored everything told to you.Emzipops91 wrote: »what do we do?0 -

Good.
And leave it at that.
Don't contact them, don't appeal, don't get scared by the letters they send you from 'Debt Recovery Plus' asking for more money, escalating costs, 'threats' of court and CCJs. It is all meaningless and designed to scam/scare you out of money.0
