Universal Job Match - What A Farce!!

Something puzzles me regarding the advice given here http://consent.me.uk/
The claimed DWP info they have quoted, where is it on the DWP website?
There is even a letter they tell you to print out and show to JC staff regarding UJM and it has stuff quoted and when you click on the links provided to view the original quote on the DWP website, they no longer exist or have been changed.
They are giving out a lot of advice, but who are they? Do you know they can be trusted or are they clueless and giving false advice?
You have been told you have to sign up or else and you are doing so

Just glad that I no longer have to sign on. I would like to know if the site is more secure than sites like cv library, reed, monster. As we all know never put your full details online for possible identity fraud and theft.0

I've registered and using the site to find jobs but what concerns me is the error that it isn't keeping a record of my applications and so I'm having to type in a note everytime so that I can prove I'm looking for work as this is how the DWP will monitor jobsearch activity.
To me the site has been botched together and just made live without any preview test drives.0 -
Possibly from FOI requests & other benefits advice sources. Maybe DWP has changed website/linksSomething puzzles me regarding the advice given here http://consent.me.uk/

Depends whether you want to play hardball with Jobcentre/DWP, because they could up ante & give you hard time. You have to be ready to deal with that.
I don't consider controlling your UJM account as playing hardball. that's your right & privacy, compared to other situations they describe on consent.me.uk website.
They have been trying to establish months ago how UJM would work through FOI requests, the DWP has refused to answer many questions, so people have assumed what could happen due to lack of information.0 -

Im glad you posted that. On the website telling you not to sign up they quote q13, and on the document you have posted there, the q13 has been changed.
Originally it said that signing up for the site wasnt a requirement to get benefits, now its different, yet that site still shows the old quote.
So when you use that in your defence in the JC and they say 'show me where it says that', you wont be able to find it on the DWP site as its been changed, making you look a tit.0 -
You only need the questions and answers there to numbers 7 & 8
Number 13 is a different question and there are 15 on one and 14 on the other
I have not been told to set up an account or anything at all, so wont till its in
writing and they have told me to becuase everyone else is.

the one online at DWP is the current one so must be true
I have saved and done a screen save and sent the link to myself
As I read it, a direction can be for one person alone or many and will form part of your JS agreement0 -

Thank you for posting about this, I've posted a note on here about exactly the same thing today. You have reassured me I'm not alone, and that the problem is not of our making.0 -

I have been a regular user of the Jobcentre Plus website for some time, but now it as changed, in my opinion, it's impossible to use!!
Firstly, when I registered it stated that I would be sent a letter detailing my log-on details, but as I never gave my home address details, how can this happen?
Secondly, I have tried to do a search relating to my particular needs, but very poor responses!
BRING BACK THE OLD WEBSITE - PLEASE!!!!!!!
Couldn't argee more . I'm having more then a nightmare trying to find a job on this new Universal Jobmatch . it's sooooooooo confusing I'm having problems using it . I too want the old website backdon't be a hypocrite all your life. God is watching YOU0 -
for me it gets rid of all the irrelevent jobs and just lists the few that are a actual match.
currently trailing at a few job centres, if your advisor can see your doing the searches and applying for jobs then you don't have to go in every 2 weeks.
Any information(link?)and info on which job centres are trialling this?0 -
Everyone will be told to sign up and create or upload a CV within the next week or so. If people can't use a computer or don't have access, they will be sent for training and instructed to use libraries or outreach centres; or the DWP computers....there is no escape from Universal Jobmatch!:beer:0
