Hi All,
Thought I'd add my comments on my dealings with this company.
I've bought two items from them. The first was a Cordless Headphone set which have proved to be useless and the cable has broken after only a few uses! The second is a thing called an 'Anywhere Lamp'. I managed to work out the voucher system and then when the lamp arrived it was broken. I followed the proceedure for returns and called them on the expensive 0871 number - got a returns number and sent the goods back for a refund. Amazingly, according to them they never got the item and have refused to give me a refund. They tell me to make a claim against Royal Mail. Tell me, how do they know I sent the parcel via Royal Mail if they didn't receive it? I could have sent it via Parcels to Go, which I use for various things. I think it's a ploy to avoid giving me a refund. I paid via Paypal and have started a claim through their system.
One comment I would make about the quality of the item from WoV is that the goods are of a very cheap - almost 'Poundshop' quality and the claims of being worth 'xxx' pounds really are an exaggeration. If I can't get my money back - I suppose I'll have to put it down to another Rip Off company experience.:(:(
Found that the company also appears to trade as 'Jean-Patrique Cookware Co Ltd' - well that's what comes up from the 0871 phone number I have. 08717048888 has an alternative of 01795 412034.
Added this note - WOV rejected the Paypal claim I made and said my proof of sending was invalid ! Definitely a BAD company !0 -
Despite my edit above, I have received nothing further. I opened a PayPal claim which was refused without reason. I can only suggest people avoid this scam of a company.0

Here's my original post again for anyone else finding this thread through a Google:
Hello,
I realise that many warning/vent threads on here are often the fault of the poster, and much hilarity ensues, but I think I'm right to be miffed here, and entitled to use the much overused phrase 'rip-off'.
Back on the 24th October I received and email offering a cast-iron casserole dish set for £79.99. Here's the ad I received:
The wording on the advert detailed the items the offer included, which included two casserole dishes, three saucepans, a grill pan, a couple of frying pans and I think some other stuff. Unfortunately I can no longer replicate what was offered, as the links have now changed, as below.
Today I received my long-awaited pan set. I opened a 28cm casserole dish, and a 26cm casserole dish. Nothing more. So I go back to Luxury Offers Direct (which seems to be the same company as World Of Vouchers), and I see that things have changed. Now, the 'Cast Iron Casserole Dish Set', for £79.99, is just two casserole dishes. The full set is considerably more expensive.
If I go back to the World Of Vouchers email, and click the original link, it now points me to this advert:
I did think when ordering that £80 for a cast iron set seemed too good to be true, so I had to think about whether to take the risk. I thought it might be low quality, or not arrive at all, but at such a good price for something I quite want I thought I'd take the plunge. As it was under £100 so no S75 protection, I paid through PayPal in the hope I might get some meagre protection through them. However, I didn't expect a clever little scam like this to be played out on me. The wording of the website and the voucher is such that if I marry up the name of the item on the voucher and the name of the item on the website, my voucher now matches what I received, not what I originally ordered. Clever.
The dishes are actually of seemingly good quality, and look very nice, but I would not have paid £80 + P&P for two casserole dishes.
I have of course emailed the customer support section of the company, and obviously uf they come back to me, apologise for the error and fulfill the original order I'll come back and edit this post to say how good World Of Vouchers and Luxury Offers Direct are, and how good their customer service is - however I can't see that happening.
A bit longer than I thought it would be, but a word of warning to those that may stumble across this thread thinking of ordering from World Of Vouchers or Luxury Offers Direct - don't.
Cheers!0 -
Blunther, do you have the link to the advert still? Even though its changed it may be possible to find a cached version with the old ad and old wording.0

Unfortunately I don't have a link to the original advert - only the new one with the hugely increased price! I took the screenshot of the original though just in case.0

whats the link to the new one? It was probably just revised in which case there may still be a cache0

here's a current link to the new one:

All the caches I have found sadly point to the revised advert. I've used cachedpages.com to search but someone else here might be able to give it a try now we have the ad address.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help0 -

Cachedpages.com uses archive.org, google cache, coral cache and Live version so its fairly all encompassing. It's not there which is annoying.
I was hoping someone knew of another site but it is looking unlikely that the ad was cached at the time0
