The reason I ask is that most people I'm in contact with are on O2 and they say that if I port my Vodafone number across, they will be charged for a Vodafone call when they phone me, rather than an O2 call, thus costing them more.
Anyone know?
I can happen sometimes, as it might not port over correctly at the network, but usually 99.9999% it works fine and they will be charged to call O2.0 -
blimey I never realised that, as I have ported my number between networks for the last 10 years!!! I know that if I release my number it reverts back to the original network owner, not whoever I am with at the time of release, but never knew it affected charges in that way - thanks for that0
