Parking eye again!

Received a PCN from these cowboys after over-staying quarter of an hour in a free car park at Aldi in Bangor, North Wales..

They have sent a second one last week to remind me to pay £40 or it will go up to £70!

Have been reading the forums dilligently for a few weeks so I know to ignore, wife still going on about paying it so I said she could if she wanted too :D - that didn't go down well.

Will keep you informed if I receive any more letters?

I do hope your wife doesn't pay it! Has she seen the Watchdog clips?

Classic advice from Tim Cary, expert Solicitor, from 2010 in which the only different thing now is that PPCs can aim their rubbish threatograms at a registered keeper if they don't know the driver (so both driver and keeper can ignore now!):

then it was on 'Watchdog' Daily just last week, watch the whole show for regular info about this scam:

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I was only jukoing with the wife, but she still wanted me to pay even after I told her of all the well-informed ppl on here!

Good to see the scam being made aware to the wider public, watchdog doing there bit at last! :D
  • You could 'appeal' PE's fake invoice and when doing it ask for a POPLA reference number and then see if they cancel their fake invoice(because they know you will cost them £32 by using POPLA. See here). If so then no junk mail to ignore. End of story.

Aldi in Bangor have a reputation for this for several years now. I'm not sure how they still manage to get anyone to shop there.

Jukoing with the wife. Is that some bizarre new sex game that the rest of us don't know about. Nudge, nudge, know what I mean!;)
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
