Same here - it's at 17/18 in here and he turns it down to 16 and I turn it back up to 18. He's forever "melting" and I told him it's just the "men"opause and he's just having hot flashes, it's not really that warm at all as the rest of us are freezing :rotfl:0 -
How many times do you have to tell british gas to stop cold calling. every week.. hello this is Darren from British gas. puts phone down..
Sign up to the telephone preference service and then you can tell them it is illegal for them to call you. Works for me.
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is a free service. It is the official central opt out register on which you can record your preference not to receive unsolicited sales or marketing calls. It is a legal requirement that all organisations (including charities, voluntary organisations and political parties) do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS unless they have your consent to do so.
Organisations with which you have an ongoing relationship, for example those who regard you as a customer, (or in the case of charities - a donor) may well gather your consent during the early stages of your relationship with them and will therefore be entitled to call you even if your number is registered on TPS, unless you have previously told them specifically that you object to them calling you for marketing purposes.0 -

DIL has been up and down to the hospital since Sunday night. Her water broke but she hasn't had any contractions. I went up with them last night when they went for another check-up and got to listen to the heartbeat but she was sent home again. She was supposed to have been induced this morning but she's just been put onto a hormone drip this evening and with only mild pain.
So hopefully my grandson will make an appearance tonight sometime :j
Good luck, keep us posted when your grandson arrives :j0 -
Thank you Auntycaz, to be honest I thought I had broken a rib it was so painful . Dh is worried now that he will catch it, he doesn't do pain! x
This page tells you all about shingles. You can catch chickenpox from someone with shingles, but shingles itself is a reawakening of the chickenpox virus which is already with you. So be careful around someone who has never had chickenpox. I got it when a friend with shingles told me he couldn't infect me! Hope you feel better soon -- it's a horrible thing!
Quote: Is shingles contagious
Yes, you can catch chickenpox from someone with shingles if you have not had chickenpox before. (You cannot get shingles itself from someone who has shingles.) The shingles rash is contagious until all the blisters have scabbed and are dry. But note: most adults and older children have already had chickenpox, and so are immune. Also, if the blisters (vesicles) are covered with a dressing, it is unlikely that the virus will pass on to others. This is because the virus is passed on by direct contact with the blisters. (Therefore, if you have a job, you can return to work once the blisters have dried up, or earlier if you keep the rash covered and feel well enough.)0 -
