    Afternoon all,

what a dark and dismal start to the week!

Full of my own moans and groans today but i'll spare you the details.

Tiglath, i have more than my fair share of cooking disasters so i sympathise. I have to say the pork roast i cooked yesterday was delicious. There was plenty and hubby took roast pork and apple sandwiches to work this morning.

Had a Youtube link to a South African news channel today concerning the charity that my daughter and her partner is working with. They are running their own baby house now. I'm so proud of them both. (My daughter is in the clip 50 seconds or so into it)

Managed to do todays chores in super record time though ive still got some washing in the dryer.

Spoke to eldest son Saturday... it would be good to catch him when he is sober... but then i promised i wouldnt moan didnt i?

Have a good day all, a warm one at least.

    afternoon all!

will read the thread shortly. Just got in from work. We seem to have an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug there:eek::( 2 out of 5 service users have it so far. I'm hoping the fact that I had it a few weeks ago will give me a bit of immunity.

Veggie lasagne for tea for me, not sure about the others, will consult with them later. DH is asleep at the moment after a very early start to his milkround.

House is tidy but could do with a vac. My washing all but dried on the line and is having a quick ten mins in the TD to finish it off.

Not a lot else to report.

    (((hugs))) to those in need

    take care all x

    Evening all

Busy day at work, meeting with some of Village Hall Committee and home at last. The weather is awful here and there were quite a few accidents on my way to work, took me an hour to get in - usually a 20 min drive. So much water we may have to go to bed in wetsuits!!

Hugs to those not feeling quite right, especially thinking of Shalva, glad to hear you are ok.

I was given some venison so it is venison casserole for tea, DD will have mash with hers when she gets in. So glad I got up a bit earlier and put it all in the slow cooker before I left this morning.

Off to work at 7 and taking the bedding with me! Take care. XX

    :j:jHe got the job:j:j
He was the last one to be interviewed and they told him there and then.Thats one thing less for him to worry about. As I have told him, he had hit rock bottom and the only way now was onwards and up.
He will have enough money to do what he needs / wants to do and he has had an email from the letting agency this afternoon saying that someone had made contact with them regarding his room and if they took it on Wed when they are going to view then he would be out of contract and as he had paid up for a few more months in advance then he would get that back and his bond money, so have a happy happy happy lad today.

  • my thoughts are with you Shalva at this difficult time for both sides in the conflict.Stick the politicians in a big room together and let them fight it out and let the civilian folk get on with living their lives in peace.
IslandMaid have you got the recipe for Cinnamon buns that you made recently pretty please.
    Uolypool that's brilliant news
    beemuzed have PM'd you
Heard from the builder this afternoon he is coming to measure my conservatory up for some new wooden flooring (I have tiles there at the moment and thet're really cold underfoot)tomorrow morning and hopefully will do it for me on Thursday ,so I had to frantically clear and tidy all the junk out of there so he can work. Most of it got moved to the cupboard under the stairs
DD Shelly is progressing well ,but has been very good and behaving herself and letting the rest of her family pull their weight for a change .DGD Holly had a big exam today at Uni but she said it was fine and nothing she couldn't handle I'm going to put my feet up and try to get comfortable tonight ,this blooming back is becoming a nuisance now.
Have a good evening everyone whatever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xxx

Uolypool - ah that's fab news for DS, good on him :)
Shalva - nice to hear from you
    ((((hugs)))) to all in need

Such a busy day! As I've been off work for a week I had lots to catch up on, and as I'm now in work not off on sick I had lots of stuff to rearrange! But a good day in all. Then off to college, good session and we finished early :)

Before college I popped to Morrisons to get milk for our tea break, and got some amazing YS bargains. 2 x 150g packs of chopped mixed peppers for 15p each, 1 x 400g bag of chopped green peppers for 19p, 2 x 500g bags of diced swede and carrots for 15p each, and 2 x 250g blocks of cheddar from deli for 29p each! :j:beer::j Amazing! So glad I went in! I'm boiling and mashing the carrots and swede, and will pop in the freezer. The peppers will be frozen too. Cheese will just be eaten as and when.

OS wise - HM soup for lunch, YS bargains

    Have a good evening all
