My husband refuses to 'participate' in this manner, so our compost is weeless, but still seems to be doing ok. :)

yes mine was infact fine before the enthusiastic participator aka boyfriend took part. I now have to keep adding loads of cardboard to keep the balance!

yes still waiting  I ordered on 3rd April and getting just a tad cheesed off now! Though I seem to remember someone on here saying it took 3 months for theirs to arrive?

last week when I rang I was told my bin had been sent out - when I said it hadnt arrived here the guy said he would arrange for another to be sent. I'm giving them till the end of the week and if no joy I will be contacting the area support man - his email is on the website I ordered from.

I suspect they are having trouble with supplies because of a big demand, but if thats the case I wish they would be straight about it.

I check this thread daily and I'm picking up all the tips and info and cant wait to get started!!

    Watch this space....... :rotfl:

Is this from your council or a private supplier?

Its from the recycle for Gloucestershire website - part of the national recyclenow scheme I think

Payment is to DHL composting so I presume DHL will deliver. Anyway I'll give them till the end of the week and see what happens. There is a contact email for any problems so will use that if no joy by the weekend.

Very frustrating having to throw compost-able stuff out, may start a heap behind the garage in readiness - getting really impatient now! :D

I just checked my paperwork and as its now 2 weeks since I spoke to them, I just rang them again; spoke to a very nice young man who said that bin has been re-ordered and should be here within 7 days so all fingers crossed please! :D

Well ....... crossed fingers and crossed whatever worked; I just got home and guess what was sitting on the path???

    ITS ARRIVED!!!!!!

complete with a leaflet and a book which I am going to read later, and also magnetic 'put these in' and 'leave these out' lists and all sorts of stuff. think I will order a kitchen caddy too - won't be too terrible if that takes 2 months to arrive!
