    Feeding how many people Elantan?

I can usually get around 8 meals & 4 servings of soup from an average sized chicken depending on what it's used for

    Roast x 2
    Strip carcass & make stock
Risotto x 2 - using 1/2 stock & chicken and bulking out with veg such as leeks, mushrooms, peas etc
Curry x 4 - using chicken & bulking out with veg such as mushrooms, onions etc
Soup x 4 - using 1/2 stock, lentils, veg etc

    HTH

Just the two of us ... We do like our grub though lol

I should admit right here and now I don't do cooking chickens

I've cooked one maybe twice in my life

The good thing is, I'll get repaid if it is wrong. But I have no idea how much has been docked (if any) and how quick I can have it back or if I have to wait for next pay day which will totally fluff this month up as I already started it 'down' as I went into my buffer (entirely my fault I know) if I can't have it back quickly.

I just popped on to check my online banking to see if my wages were showing yet ready to be cleared but they're not showing yet which is a shame. Mind you, if I have been docked I won't be able to da anything about it until tomorrow anyway, lol.

    Bottoms!

Each to their own though right? And if you like big chunks of chicken, then there are worse pleasures in life you could indulge in :) Where as me, if I could swap all my chicken for some fluffy crispy roast potatoes instead...

You could give it a go... What have you lost - 1 meal? :) Possibly gained a whole new recipe / taste option

After I said that though, I don't like risotto either :rotfl:

But there will be things people don't like. I tried escargot a few years ago. I knew exactly what I was, but I was adament I wouldn't be put off knowing what it was in case I was missing out on something amazing. Bleurgh...... :(

    :eek::eek::eek::mad:

So I've come in and checked my online banking, thankfully i didn't check it last night as I wouldn't have slept a wink. I've been paid less that half my normal salary and my payments are all set to come out within days of payday

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. My boss is in a meeting at the mo, so I haven't managed to speak to him yet. Oh b*gger :(:(

    Carp!

Was you pay in October right? (or did the dates just scrape through before it thought you were off).

Speak to your boss - their error & as it's a substantial amount (ie not just one day missing or something) they should either arrange for another BACS payment to go through or issue a cheque.

Morning Rising! My boss checked with them and they confirmed I was paid 1st -5th November as full pay, then till 30th November as £0 I'm guessing the number seems inflated for the first week (I don't get paid as much as that per week after tax) is due to a tax correction from being paid less?

They told him it will be corrected in my next pay packet so he has offered to lend me the difference to pay back next payday (as it was his mistake). I'm truly greatful that he offered this (and was in a position to) but that sits really uneasy with me so I have pushed him to request an emergency payment to be made instead. He told me he didn't want the paperwork, but I've stood my ground and told him I was greatful for the offer but that wouldn't sit easy on me

What a great start to my frist week of a debt free diary eh? :undecided

It would only happen to me!
