In what way have you been stiched up.....

If you dont want to give details no one can give you a meaningful answer.

The mention of 'crime' and 'proceedings' in the original post doesnt help.

erm what are you on about now? I'm not asking if i am guilty or not and for your blessing, I know i am innocent and that I have been stitched up. I was told I didn't need to apply. I am asking will they be able to try and get me on a 13 weeker should the case not go my way, or will they have to stick to the old 4 week rules since the offence they're accusing me of was pre rule change. Even on my letter, they have dated the matter as pre rule change. but obviously dated the letter and proceedings as this week.

If found guilty I am certainly appealing and have excellent case to appeal. Going to battle it all the way, but hopefully it won't come to that as I have explained what happened in full.

not for a 1st offence on my charge it wasn't. it was 4 weeks.

Sorry but busy mom is correct under the old regime 1st offence or not refusal of employment/ refusing to apply was upto 26 weeks for a permanent job or the number of weeks the job would of lasted if temp.

    source?

sorry but i still believe that is incorrect. on the comparison sheet i received from the job centre last month it had in black and white first offence clearly listed as 4 weeks for the same charge. rising up to max 28 weeks for 3rd offence. now it is 13 weeks, rising to 1 year then 3 years.

also my charge is failure, not refusal. not sure if there's a difference there but that might have some bearing on matters. i don't know at this point.

You have not met the rules for claiming this free money, which is why you are being sanctioned no matter for how long. You keep saying you havent done anything wrong, you obviously have.

I'm just wasting my time so I'm out.

Incorrect, I was told not to apply. In order for somebody to then stitch me up and claim 1 of their daily sanction targets.

And yes it does matter to me how long. 4 weeks or 13 weeks is a huge difference to me. That's why I asked...

    DUHHHHHHHH!

your judging of me had sod all to do with the thread. it was nowt to do with the question i asked. just an attempt to have a pop at an unemployed person. "Job Centre must be right, they're the job centre and he's unemployed" etc.

Oh well, ah that's a shame. see ya. I've proved you wrong and the matter's settled.

The source would be that I'm a senior advisor at the jobcentre as I believe so is busy mom.

Refusal/ failure makes no difference on the system we use it will come up as R.E under the old rules the sanction that I stated will apply under the new rules 1st offence 13 weeks, 2nd 26 and 3rd 156.... There is no 4 week sanction for Refusal/ failure to apply. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

I've noticed before that you're extremely fond of using the term 'free money' and you've done so again twice in this thread so far.

Are the ten million people in receipt of the State Pension also getting free money? I ask because it, like JSA, is also a benefit... all of them are whatever they're called.

It's something that vast numbers of Tax Credit recipients will learn (should they not already) because the self and part-time employed are up next for the big stick treatment under the guise of Universal Credit.

For anyone who might rub their hands with relish at the prospect of even more people becoming broke and desperate, then they had better have a bullet-proof job (remember when the police and armed forces had them?) or loads of money tucked away because the US, UK, Japan and Europe will continue to decline and no amount of money printing will stop their economies from collapsing like an overcooked souffle.

I hate children and I'm about 30 with no retail experience. I wouldn't be hired. Spending time to apply for it would be wasting good time I can use to apply for jobs i can actually get hired in. That's not me discounting the job, I'm just stating a fact.

OK..as I am sure you are aware its probably best to stand on your own two feet in life. That way you can tell the Jobcentre to foxtrot oscar for good :)

Yes, because it is free money.

The rest of your post is far too political for me....;)

    True colours indeed.

In actual fact, I am a lady, been a lady all my life.

You, young man, will never, ever be able to call yourself a gentleman.

(said gently with a smile on my face and one eyebrow slightly raised.)

After all that, I do hope you find a job soon.
