It's a web page. The terminal links to the same web page you see if you're sat at home.

You're still having trouble realising you were at the tesco direct part of the store and the stock you walked past was part of the tesco store stock. You can keep on claiming I'm wrong but the fact you have no heaters proves I'm not :)

I challenge you to prove this statement.

Post an identical screen grab from your own PC of the page I posted in the 1st post.

Sadly I'm on an iPhone so can't do that :)

Although you can tell by looking at it that's its a web page!

I agree that it looks s a page coded in HTML... but it's a big leap from there to stating it's the same web page you view from a home pc.

As I said before.. please stop making these statements unless you are sure of the facts.

Don't be an idiot. Very few statements on an Internet forum are done when the poster is 100% sure of the facts.

However I am 90% sure that is a web page.

Even if I am wrong I am 100% sure I am right that you didn't get the heater. And I am 100% sure that you didn't get the heater because the click and collect had none in stock.

What surprises me is you're prepared to spend 24 hours complaining about this on a web forum when you could have just gone online last night, ordered one and had it delivered to the store to be collected tomorrow. However that is obviously too proactive for you. It's much better just to complain.....

Thanks Dave..I've emailed Tesco. I'll update here when I have a reply from them.

Don't hold our breath, I've sent two emails to them in the last two weeks with queries about purchases I've made which they've failed to reply to.

Two different businesses run from the same building. The item presumably is 'take away today' IF it is in stock with Tesco Direct, which it was not. Seems a bit stupid for both businesses to stock the same item but other than that it happens all the time in shops that items are pictured on a board but then out of stock.

It's Tesco. Why the expectation of any customer service or clarity?

Just as an update to this thread.. I've had a few emails with Tesco explaining my frustration with the situation.

The final email form them reads as follows:

The stock from our store is not the same stock that is in our Tesco Direct warehouse. I appreciate that as a customer, you can see stock of an item that you are trying to purchase, but our staff would be unable to do this for the above reason.

So, you were able to have your heater from Tesco Direct refunded and purchase it from our store stock, but as this is a different price, this would be need to be paid.

I understand that this has affected your faith in our operations and I would like to send you a £10.00 Tesco Moneycard as a gesture of goodwill. Although, I hope you will understand our position in this matter.
