  • Hello again RG, its been a while.

Sorry to hear about your redundancy, hope you get another job soon.

Quick question for you and hope you dont mind me asking. When you started your DMP your DFD was way off and I know this was something that always concerned you. You often got advice on here that an IVA might be something to consider. Just wondering if you looked into it or if you are still struggling on with your DMP?

Just asking as I am due a DMP review and to be honest, my DFD is getting further and further away and might now consider an IVA.

Hi scared-sick, long time no hear.

I am still struggling with my DMP with CCCS. Need to speak to them tomorrow regarding me being out of work come 1st December.

Will look into IVA's too, thanks.

Yes, my debt free date was 2030, assuming I kept the same income/job, heaven knows what will happen now I am being made redundant.

  • Oh, I forgot I can't as I owe more than £20,000 and don't have a stable income :wall:

  • Speak to CCCS. They can and will advise and help. Be TOTALLY honest with them - they are there to help, not persecute.

    Hi, and thanks.

I spoke to CCCS this afternoon and she was very sympathetic and kept saying "it's only money.....", and basically they (creditors) can't take what I don't have.

CCCS will reduce my monthly payment temporarily from £126 pm to £35, but I must get back in touch by mid-December to keep them updated. I also need to fill in a new client budget from and submit that, and I explained I won't know what JSA amounts, Housing & Council Tax benefits amounts I will get for a few weeks as it will take that long to process them.

I was very emotional speaking to her, but that could be from having cleared my desk, and saying goodbye to my boss this afternoon as she is finishing today. Plus everyone in the building gave us a card each and a leaving present, awww :p :j

Sat alone in an empty office for the next 2 days is gonna crush me :(

    Thanks again

    Tell me about it :o

  • Just applied for JSA online.

Am still annoyed redundancy counts as "savings", I'll be living off that until I find a new job and they reduce your benefits as you have this redundancy money.

£71 a week "JSA" when my direct debits out are £290 a month alone and I still owe £26,000.... what's the point in it all?
