Wipers, just measure your existing wipers. so you know what size to get, if they don't have the exact size it doesn't matter if you are an inch too long or too short.

Wont work on a Jazz rear wiper, they are a specific fit, and unless you change just the rubber bit, they blade wont fit. I bought one off ebay that is lasting fine.

I totally disagree. I have used Wilco blades (£1.99 each) many times and been perfectly satisfied. They have lasted for about three to four years and are every bit as good as much more expensive makes. Just measure the length of your existing blade and buy the same length.

I've had a pair of these on my car for over a year now. Although they are now in need of replacing, they have done the job fine. Disappointed that Wilkinson have now decided to stock the more expensive flat type of wiper.

Reason why I went for the cheap Wilko blades in the first place was because some scum ripped mine off once that I had paid £10 for so not worth spending loads any more.

Thanks for all the suggestions, there's a lot to check out :) One question though...do I just buy the rubber wiper part or do you have to buy a whole wiper (I mean the rubber bit attached to the plastic arm)? I'm still confused!

You buy the replacement wiper that they sell for your car.......

A few years ago, I bought a set of cheapo blades from Wilkinsons and took them back after a couple of weeks as they were completely useless - noisy, juddery and streaky.

I paid the extra and got a set from Halfords. .

Wilkos blades are made by the very same co that supply Halfords, Unico. The only difference is the packaging and price.

    I guess it's how it's marketed.;)

Yeah I recommend eBay too. I've had rear wipers off there and they have been a lot cheaper than official sources and done the job.

Sorry, would never take a recommendation for ebay for anything whatsoever.

Just go to a local motor factor, it's not really a big deal to buy a rear wiper for any car.

    LOL. And why not?

As long as you know what you want and you research the seller's feedback, etc, what is the problem?

The rear wiper on my wife's old A-Class Merc is a standard one which fits like a front wiper blade. Cheap and easy.

My Mum's 2002 Punto replacement involves removing the wiper arm from the spline and replacing the whole unit, not just the blade.

IIRC the replacement arm unit for the Punto was about £12 off ebay.

You need to establish if your model requires the whole arm, or just the wiper itself.

I need a new rear windscreen wiper for my Honda Jazz (56 reg) as the rubber part is hanging off. When I looked at prices in Halfords they were about £15

I'm a woman so not great when it comes to cars, DIY etc...is there anywhere cheaper I can get a good wiper blade from? Do I have to buy the whole wiper attachment or just the rubber blade bit? :o

Thanks in advance and sorry for my lack or car knowledge! :o
