Where to buy windscreen wipers?

I got sold the wrong ones..... ended up putting the new rubber into the old case and using pliers to fix it in.... (not great)
Later I need a new battery and found a place does Honda parts....
Genuine Honda battery for Diesel (biggest) was I think under £50 ish (vs over £100 at Halfords) and free delivery started at £50 so I bought genuine Honda wipers as well for MUCH LESS than replacements at Halfords!
If the Jazz are the same they just clip on.... a bit fiddly (make sure you remember which way up they come off).... but once you know its 10 seconds!0 -
wiperblades.co.uk for me also.
Fitted their own brand of flat blades 3 years ago and still working well.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Here are the people I used......

Given Honda stuff is usually very good quality I was very pleased by the price. You need to give them your REG or chassis number and they check its correct for your car.0 -
Yeah I recommend eBay too. I've had rear wipers off there and they have been a lot cheaper than official sources and done the job.0

Lidl, http://www.lidl.co.uk doing from 22/11/2012
Wipers for £4 per pair
High vis vests for £2
Warning Triangle £7
Antifreeze tester £1.50
Spare bulb set £5 (2 main 2 brake 2 x 5w tail?)
Jump leads £13
Bottle jack £10
Snow Chain set £20 from 26/11/2012
Wipers, just measure your existing wipers. so you know what size to get, if they don't have the exact size it doesn't matter if you are an inch too long or too short.0 -

I paid the extra and got a set from Halfords. I recently bought a new set of Trico at a good price from my local motor factor. I would suggest checking out one of your local motor factor stores or Unipart.
I totally disagree. I have used Wilco blades (£1.99 each) many times and been perfectly satisfied. They have lasted for about three to four years and are every bit as good as much more expensive makes. Just measure the length of your existing blade and buy the same length.0 -
Thanks for all the suggestions, there's a lot to check out
One question though...do I just buy the rubber wiper part or do you have to buy a whole wiper (I mean the rubber bit attached to the plastic arm)? I'm still confused!

My neighbour told me to go to Wilkos because they are cheap but they don't do the cheap ones anymore. The ones I got were £5.99 each, flat ones and I have to say, they are the best wipers I have ever had, really clean the screen much better than the cheap ones. The Range also do a similar one at I think £4.99.0
