Where to buy windscreen wipers?

I need a new rear windscreen wiper for my Honda Jazz (56 reg) as the rubber part is hanging off. When I looked at prices in Halfords they were about £15

I'm a woman so not great when it comes to cars, DIY etc...is there anywhere cheaper I can get a good wiper blade from? Do I have to buy the whole wiper attachment or just the rubber blade bit? :o

Thanks in advance and sorry for my lack or car knowledge! :o

These seems much cheaper...thanks! Just one question though...the wipers are described as Specific Fit and there are 2 different types for my car...how do I know which ones are the right ones? :o They both have slightly different measurements.
  • Have a look at wiperblades.co.uk

They have a good blade selector tool, so I was sure I was getting the right blades. They also give you product/brand choices from budget to premium and their delivery was 24 hours, so I was very happy when I used them.

Chances are the blades will be different sizes. It's common for the driver side to be different size than passenger size.

    check out ebay.

plug in 'honda jazz wiper blade' - there will be loads.

The best are the 'aero' blades - they are like a solid rubber with no metal support.
  • A few years ago, I bought a set of cheapo blades from Wilkinsons and took them back after a couple of weeks as they were completely useless - noisy, juddery and streaky.

I paid the extra and got a set from Halfords. I recently bought a new set of Trico at a good price from my local motor factor. I would suggest checking out one of your local motor factor stores or Unipart.

Wilkinsons don't do those very cheap ones now (probably for that very reason...)

The cheapest they do now are around the £6 mark and quite high quality. Lasting well on my car. If you have a local wilkos they are definitely worth a look

Just had look at that "recommended" website and nearly fell off my chair! Get down to your local factors and even if they don't give you full trade discount, they certainly wont be charging you that much. (£15.58 in my sample)

Don't be too sure, their selector tool is not 100% accurate. It has come up with the wrong length blade more than once.
When queried by e-mail they don't seem to want to comment about the inaccuracy.
I buy blades from a main dealer for my Toyota,
    1. they are correct fit and size.
    2. original good quality.
    3. no more expensive than elsewhere for comparable quality.
    :)
