T-Mobile Early Upgrade

Options
My T-Mobile contract doesn't expire till March 2014 but I have just logged onto my account and it says I am eligible for an early upgrade.

The deal says " We'll give you a 25% discount on the monthly payments you have left."

I am paying a fiver for 100 mins, 500 texts and 750mg internet. Am I reading this offer correctly that we would have to pay £3.75 a month on top of the cost of a new contract?

Anyone else had this offer?

I think you'll have to pay one-off termination charge ~£3.75*4

However, early upgrades hardly ever are good value for money.

Do you mean £3.75 x 16 as my contract doesn't expire until March 2014?

Seems a bit strange offering an upgrade so early into my contract. I have another account which has the upgrade message for January. (this one was taken out a couple of months later)

Looks like tmob have taken on oranges approach to early upgrades. You can do it after 6months in contract, and as said, it involves an upfront charge of £60 in your case and you'd then be free to upgrade/start a new contract with tmobile. Only worth it if you're desperately unhappy with your current contract.

Worth noting, you have to pay off to your contract end date, not your upgrade date.

This contract is for my wife and she is happy with what we get, she would like a new phone but it would be cheaper buying a handset on it's own.
