I really don't understand why they change their recipes and make them uneatable by certain groups. DD was upset that Oreo are not vegan in the UK, but are in the USA. Surely we've come to a time where we shouldn't be adding animal products to food that doesn't already have them.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210

I have 2 packets in my cupboard and on the back below where the ingredients are listed in silver writing it quite clearly says contains soya. May contain traces of milk and sulphites. These packs are dated June 2013.adouglasmhor wrote: »The one on my desk doesn't say that and it is in date.0 -

Do anyone think that it's worth while starting a thread on vegan food that are no longer vegan. I'm sure most people automatically put things in their trolley without checking every time to see if the ingredients have changed. DD had to check the Tesco soya milk before we bought it as the vitamin D is being changed and it will no longer be vegan.
Sorry, I seem to be moving off my original post.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -
The ASDA one is allready not vegan, I wonder how that's going to workout for them? The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

The 'may contain traces of' statement is to cover the company for people who are allergic to certain things. Usually it means that the product is made on the same machinery as non vegan stuff.
Really, really hacked off about After 8 s though- used to be a quick simple thank you pressie.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0 -

I completely agree with this. My brother is also annoyed about Oreos, the addition of "whey powder" for the UK market makes them non-vegan. I've bought the US ones for his hamper but they are obviously a lot more expensive.

It's not just vegan, products which change recipe across the Atlantic - quite a few US organic products end up being non organic over here.0
