To me that's a) pretty personal and b) NOT a present lol!

That being said my grandparents gave my mum a box of tampons as a birthday present as a teenager

It's not something I would expect from many folks lol, but a hubby or boyfriend you would be close enough generally?
To me anything I can use is a present, of course some things feel more like treats than others, but hey times are tough!
Each to their own I suppose! You can get some pretty boxes nowadays ;).

My parents used to do something similar, we had little drawstring bags which would have gifts for us in them - sometimes little cheap stocking filler things, and sometimes just some sweets, but it was nice because every day was different :) I keep meaning to do it for me and OH but then I see those £1 advent calendars...

You could buy some nice beads from ebay and make them into a little bracelet or dangling charm.

Poundland has Elizabeth Shaw nail varnish and lipstick in packets for 3 for £1, the quality is actually pretty decent.

If you have a Merchant Chandler near you they have a pretty good knick knacks section with novelty pens, decorative nail files, trinket boxes etc etc all quite cheap.

    A 50p stamp... ;)

If this is going to become a regular thing then you can stock up for next year in the January sales... ;)

Nah...I'd be genuinely mortified lol :rotfl: If I was so ill i couldn't leave the house and due on and he went & picked some up for me, I'd be really grateful that he had done that for me but if I whipped a Lilet out of an advent calendar I'd be . The ones in the pretty boxes are way more than 50p though aren't they?

Apologies to OP with all this girly talk :o.

If your girlfriend is on a diet how about Cadburys Highlights (individual sachets of drinking chocolate) they are less than 50 calories and last time i bought some they were a bit less than 50p.

If they cost a little bit more, she will never know will she?

I know that I am a baa humbug (I know I know) but just sounds to me like you will waste £12.50 (well £25) on a load of tat that will end up going in the bin.

At least tampax are useful (if you get the righ size and brand).

Maybe a different sanitary towel or tampon for each of 25 days!

So glad you posted this! I'm in a similar quandry, except I'm buying for a guy and the limit is size not money.

12 gifts no more then 2 inches cubed has got me stumped! Will look thru suggestions and add any I find

USB memory stick / digital camera memory card

    LED keyring torch

Balloon animal balloons (with the instructions printed on the balloon)

Tape measure (about 2.5 inch square)

    Cufflinks

Parking timer or Ice scarper keyring

    A million pound note

    Golf balls

    Various utility keyrings

    Dog end bottle stopper

Especially if you didn't have your specs on and thought it was a marshmallow.
