How about a trip to the pound shop or a charity shop? You never know what you might find!

One year I challenged myself to do x2 Christmas stockings for no more than £5 each.
I wrote little notes to do with most things.
a rubber - to rub out you mistakes.
tea bag - have a drink on me
rubber bands to stretch your imagination
Calendar so you remember our dates
Printed off a Christmas story from web, just a sheet of paper
Matches to light up you life
Plasters to mend your sorrows
pack. of seeds to grow your own
pencil for writing notes
I think I also put in a few Christmas ornaments, glitter things, I remember each had a mug.
One thing my daughter liked last year was in the week before Christmas, every morning I sent her a email a free e Christmas card. They had a tune and had family dancing. Got it from MSE freebie site. She works in a office and was delighted , cheered her day up and other staff on hearing it came rushing in to watch...the things this mum does...The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
So glad you posted this! I'm in a similar quandry, except I'm buying for a guy and the limit is size not money.
12 gifts no more then 2 inches cubed has got me stumped! Will look thru suggestions and add any I find:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

Kinder eggs? I love the little toys in them.
Bouncy balls and little bits out of those 20p machines they have in shopping centres and service stations
Try freecycle to see what sort of goodies are on there, 50p spent on petrol to collect it.
Oh and I am stealing your girlfriends idea0 -

maybe the budget wont cover a rose from the florists but you might be able to get a gerbrea....thats the daisy type flowers in bright colours...
You could also perhaps think about growing your own,and give her a pack of sunflower seeds as they are really easy to grow and fairly cheap...or look into getting a few single bulbs from the garden centre...daffodil,tulip,hyasynth ...by giving her a bulb a day you could create a lovely spring pot of flowers!
Places like wilkinsons do some very cheap clay pots which you could paint if you want to personalise the gift a bit more to grow the bulbs in.
This could also work with herbs or even chilli seeds to produce chilli plants which are also really easy to grow.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
another vote for the poundshop toiletries aisle here - you could get one of the sets of bath bombs/body lotions etc, split them up and give one item per day of Advent, to go with all the great ideas you've had so far

One of those shower puff scrub things?
Have you got a wilkinsons near you?
They often have little bits in their stationery section like rubbers/pens if she works somewhere where she would use them?0
