  • After 12 months i think you can down grade your tariff, i did this dropped it from £30 a month to £20 a month call them and see.

Could also consider selling both your phones on ebay and putting the money towards your termination fee.

You could dig out your older phones (if you were getting upgraded regularly you should have a drawer full of old phones) and see if they are also worth selling on ebay.

Even if you both had good jobs, £1,200 is a lot of money to spend on phones. If you had put that into a savings account, you would have a had a nice little nest-egg by now.

I agree with a lot of the advise on here!
    1. Downgrade your tariffs as low as they will go
    2. Look into selling your iphones privately/ebay to get the most for them.
    3. Go into phones 4u and ask for a buyout and they will look at helping coverthe termination/upgrade fee.
I would recommend taking an old phone into phones 4u as sometimes u can get loads for trading in rubbish phones lol.
Hope this helps and good luck
    :)

They will look only if they stand a chance to sell a new long and expensive contract (two contracts in fact).

They are not a charity to 'help' people.
  • cant you just say that you are moving abroad? thats what i did to get out of a mobile contract ;)

Does this mean that you just said and they just cancelled without fees and wished you to have a nice trip?rolleyes.gif
If this is correct mobile networks have to start preparations for mass 'emigration' of their customers, especially those with expensive phones on expensive contracts.
  • I would downgrade first, then go through the termination process on the downgraded contract. Then sell your phones to help cover the cost.
