hi can anyone help my daughter is thinking of offering to look after her 2 nephews and niece they are all under 6 have just been placed in emergency homes but will be placed into long time care soon. i know she will cope with looking after them and we are all willing to help but i am worried how she will cope finacially she is only 21 and currently works will she get any help please

Can you give a little more info? Were the children removed by police or was there a court hearing?
Has the social worker asked about family members?
Your daughter will need to have a kinship assessment and if it is agreed that the children can live with her she will get the fostering allowance for them. Fostering involve a lot of meetings etc and it is unlikely that she would be able to work full time as well. Has she got room for 3 children? Is she in a relationship?
Has the childrens mother got a solicitor and is she in agreement with yourdaughter caring for the children? Is there anyone else in the family that could be considered?
If your daughter is not seemed a suitable carer and the first thing that jumps out at me is her age then there is always the option of contact.

Give me some more detail and I'll see if I can help further.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Every area is different, I would certainly contact the social worker and make your feelings/views known. In Wales kinship carers are paid a reduced allowance, where if its via the legal guardian route you can then claim Child benefit and child tax credit (which you can't under kinship rules) So best to find out in your own area and go from there. Excellent thing to do, well done...
