Hi Emily, I am sure you must have the prize for the most challenges entered and succeeded with!
As you will see from my signature, my challenge is to pay £10000 off my debt this year, and 3 months in, I am already half way there. All due to the support of these boards, I have to say.
So with your determination, which you know you have, and the support from these boards, which you know you have, plus your guardian angels, you will do this!

My boyfriend has taken my birthday off work so he's going to take me out somewhere - maybe I will get my proposal after all? (did anyone else see those pigs flying?).

You never know, Emily. Birthdays and proposals seem to be going hand in hand at the moment. Happy birthday for when it comes and fingers crossed. And well done on everything you've achieved even this week. I don't know how you manage to do so much on AQA, especially during the daytime when it seems to be mainly boring/technical/complicated questions.I joined the 21k debt free in 2 years head to head challenge 12 December 06

Want us to have a word with the bf? :rotfl:
Em it isnt silly at all thinking your dad is protecting you. I have some very special people 'upstairs' watching over my family and I feel the same. When I'm worried about something I have a little word and know that things will be ok. I have no doubt your dad has already met the new baby and has made sure that this one will come to you very strong and healthy. I understand why your sis is worried though, I lost a baby girl who was born at 27 weeks, she lived for 9 weeks but had too many problems. The 2 pregnancies I had after that were very stressful, but they were both born full term and healthy (well, one has a bunch of problems but nothing pregnancy related). Your family is overdue some happiness and I know that in 10 weeks or so that happiness will come in a monumental way.:A

Good luck with your challenge - I'd like to be debt free by 30 too though I have less time to go (just under three years  ), it's really inspiring reading how you and others have managed to meet their targets.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

The olympic challenge is responsible for most of it! A lot of ebaying, a car boot sale, discovering quidco, upping the mystery shopping and signing up to new sites, finding that you can sell as well as buy on Amazon, collecting £2, cancelling gym membership, sacking the cleaner that I couldn't really afford, etc etc etc.
Oh, and I have just got into matched betting a bit so that helps as well!

Thank you
My sister is feeling well at the moment, the doctors are monitoring her closely and she's having her blood pressure done weekly. I just keep telling her that every day she goes past the 11 week mark, the baby is getting stronger and bigger than little Joshua was.
I know it sounds strange but since my dad died, I feel that he is always up there watching over us and it feels like he wouldn't let anything bad happen again.

Good luck with it all. You are an inspiration to us all!
I to want to be debt free by 30 although only a couple of years to go, I also wanted to be married before I was 30 - half way there engaged but not even thinking about a wedding until we can see the end of the debt road.
Re: hints on the engagement. Get him very drunk and have a I love you so much conversation (him telling you). It worked for me, my OH then proposed the next day (sober!) Although I didn't need to help him get drunk.Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
