Hi I know we are now in to September, but I really like the sound of this challenge, I have one of those ceramic pots and I intend on saving £2's until it is full to spend on a family holiday.
    Thanks:T

  • Sorry all I haven't stopped by for ages, it's great to see people doing well towards their targets :T I'm still obsessively collecting £2 coins, I'm none the wiser to how much is in there piggy but can tell you that he is definitely getting heavier and judging by the amount that have gone in there recently I'm guessing there will be quite a reasonable amount in there when I chose to open him :rotfl:

    Hello

So, after spending my first £100 on my holiday, I then broke in again to take out £20 for the bank holiday weekend. So £120 up to now, starting afresh again for Christmas!

  • Hi all,
As far as I can remember I have not posted on this page since I was added as #52 back in December, but just to update everyone I have finally smashed the 'holiday fund' pot of dreams and there was £630 inside! £150 of this was in notes which myself and the bf had added to help things along but we were very happy with this!
Also had another pot going for loose change which had £57 in so we are about to cash it all in at the bank and book a weeks all inclusive holiday in turkey. It feels like we are going way for free!
We have already bought 2 new 'tin opener' style pots from poundland ready to start saving for Christmas. Can't wait to start saving again, I have a purse full of £2 coins already! :-)
