Really, you think there's nothing laudable in campaigning for the welfare of others
She's not on a mission from God to help other people - sometimes it's better for all concerned to let someone else fight their own battles."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
There are literally thousands of people in our county who have benefited, both financially and in an improved quality of life, from her efforts. But apparently she should have refused to do anything on the basis that she didn't get a personal request from each and every one of them? If that isn't an indictment of our times I don't know what is. My gob is well and truly smacked at such a selfish attitude.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Perhaps if you stopped talking in riddles and told us what was so unique about this situation people would see that.

Wowsers. She sounds amazing.
What sort of people have benefited?
Her employers must be gutted to have had to dismiss her on a jumped up charge. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Sounds like the OP is trying to tread a line between giving people enough information so that they can possibly help or give advice, and giving too much information away so that the person or people in question might be identifiable.
From what I've gleaned, the qualification in question was paid for privately, and may not in fact be relevant to the situation, though it's certainly whetted people's curiosity as to what it could be!
I'd say again, as there seems unfortunately to be very little in the way of legal protection for her it might be worth playing the situation a bit cleverly and addressing what's happened in a more informal way.
I hope she either gets her job back, or manages to get something else, anyway.0 -
She is! She's also a moody selfish lazy mare on occasion, AS ARE MOST GIRLS HER AGE, and she can throw a tantrum longer and harder than any 2 year old I've ever met. But she should walk into a Russell Group uni, she has the largest circle of friends of anyone I know and she has a fab body. Pretty much everything going for her, jealous much, yes I am LOL And d....... proud to be her step-mum.
The qualification is absolutely relevant! Her colleagues who don't have it aren't allowed to do the job she does. But thank you, yes, I did make it clear early on that I wasn't willing to specify the job as it would make her easily recognisable. Which is exactly why I'm not going to identify her achievements either.
The man at the top is now aware of what is going on, it will be interesting to hear his reaction.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Is she actually human, or some sort of diety? If her opinion of herself is anything like yours, no wonder her co workers don't like her.0 -
:rotfl:
She's popular, even with most of the displaced staff.
