If any of this is true, a full time senior member of staff has been investigated and then dismissed for gross misconduct in one working week on the word of a 17 year old part time student, who now intends to walz back in to the workplace and not expect any backlash from the other full time members of staff who will be aware how devastating it is to suddenly lose your sole source of income (not your pocket money). I would not lay any bets on the SD getting a warm reception when she goes back. I also find it hard to see, even if SD's dismissal was unjust given that it was not illegal and didn't leave the charity open to any legal liability, how making that decision became a sackable offence for the manager.
This charity does seem a bit trigger happy with its P45s0 -
The qualification is work related. What she accomplished that benefits thousands is not. I did say somewhere that what she does at work wouldn't benefit anywhere near as many people.
Hang on a minute, I'm getting a bit confused here. In post 170 ILW specifically asks you what the qualification is that your step-daughter has and in post 171 you said it's not work related, then you post as above that it is work related. Which one is it?0 -
my understanding is that the "qualification" is work related and the [STRIKE]crock of sh1te[/STRIKE] bit about her benefitting mankind by the 10's of thousands is extra curricular/not work related. I could be wrong.. :rotfl:0

I just caught up on the latest posts on this thread and I'm kinda disappointed that the story ended so quickly. OP maybe there will be another twist in the tale tomorrow? Could you perhaps leave us with a cliffhanger tonight to keep us guessing? Maybe a little clue as to what the mystery qualification is?0

I do hope not! We are sincerely hoping that this draws a line under everything. It's been a bit of a rough week what with SEN tribunal, DLA forms, hospital etc and this on top.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Well it was all a bit of a whirlwind wasn't it. So much has happened in the space of a mere seven days. My head is spinning with it all.
But - kudos to Daska for providing us with what HAS to be one of the most entertaining threads for a long, long time. More twists and turns, and hints, dead ends and innuendos than a good murder mystery book.0 -
Actually kudos to a lot of you here as well, while it's frustrating that so many of you chose to be so unpleasant and to twist things, I was grateful for the help that was offered. There was also a lot of humour and I have laughed long and loud at some of the posts. I did particularly love the (somewhat ironic) suggestion that she was involved in 'curing' gays.Eat food. So, now that it is all resolved can you tell us the field of work and the qualification?0
