Today I received a text message saying I was subscribed to play planet for £1.50 a week and that I should reply stop to unsubscribe - news to me! I looked at my Orange phone account and found that they had been deducting £1.50 a week for the last 4 weeks. Their website tells you how to unsubscribe but not how to get your money back and phone lines are all automated. However, there is one number you can phone - it's their London headquarters 020 7613 6000. Having insisted, I was put through to Bianca. She has blocked my number on their system and is refunding me £6 through Paypal. I hope this information helps others. If you have any real problems their Chief Executive Officer is called Andrea Casalini. Unfortunately I don't have an email address - if you find it please post it on the forum!

This has just happened to me also. I called them yesterday, they have charged me £5. I have had an email today to say that as a gesture of goodwill they will refund £12 through paypal. This has made me even more wary. Did you get your refund?

The company doing the billing claims it closed down the 'bug' in 2012:
