Yesterday I spoke to a general adviser, spoke to her again today, she admitted she didnt know it all and told me wrong info yesterday, she then put me through to a senior adviser, who gave me the facts.

I said it sounded unfair, she said if you want benefits then you have to meet their requirements, if you dont want to do as they ask its fine, you dont have to, but you wont get any money.

If you can afford to live without their money then good luck to you in your fight, I cant afford to, so Ill have to tow the line.
You've made mistake of thinking you're going to get sense out of all these people.

The more people you speak to the more differing opinions you will get.

The system has only just started & they want people to sign up, give access, so jobseekers & jobcentre can do things electronically, that's the job of anyone senior to tell you this.

csmw is a senior advisor & has said it's not mandatory.

As you said before, as long as you register with UJM you will be ok for now.
Nobody is going to sanction for not giving access to the UJM account right now. You will see attitude of advisors to this as system settles down.

Actually he said it WILL become mandatory and that some JC are making it mandatory from the start, some arent.

The thing is John, you have to jump through hoops to get your money, they dont dance to your tune, if you think you are going to tell them what you have to do to get your money, you will be spending Xmas with Sarah, moaning about your lack of money.

True, the difference is they expect you to use their site at the very least, other sites are a bonus.

on the site i use i know i wont get grief if i reject an unsuitable job. if it were the same with the jobcentre site there wouldnt be an issue with it. not being able to trust the jobcentre is the big issue with the new site.

So you believe what 1 random person in JC has told you on phone for a brand new JC/government service.

    It's only just started.

You're not going to get sanctioned if you don't tick DWP access box, they are only just getting new system going.

Random person? It was a senior JC adviser, who are you going to get your info from, the milkman?
