    There's nothing to worry about. If the credit doesn't appear within 2 weeks then just contact Amex and they'll manually put it on within 24 hours.

    Yeah I'm sure the money will come next week, it's my MBNA Amex, would I need to contact MBNA directly or American Express? Not too sure and reading through the topic (and an old one), it's not overly clear.

    I've also done the same transaction on my AMEX Charge Card yesterday so hopefully that one is a bit quicker!
  • I'd contact Amex initially - their customer service is so good that if they can't help then they'll be able to point you in the right direction I'm sure.

  • It wouldn't have affected you. It was transactions that were due to post yesterday.

    Just filled up, and it worked fine. I got the message very quickly.

    me again, done evertything that was said and filled up with £50 of fuel at shell earlier and nothing has appeared in my four square notifications, there is nothing in there at all, i unlocked all the offers and havent received any emails or any notifications, have i missed something?

    seems strange i am not getting any notifications, been into settings and they are all ticked
  • When you say you unlocked the offers, did you click on the unlocked offer and load it to card?

  • When you say you unlocked the offers, did you click on the unlocked offer and load it to card?
    yes, i clicked check in, then redeem, then load offer
  • Notifications can be hit and miss so I wouldn't worry about it. I even had a notification come through but not the credit.

    think i will see how this one goes before trying it elsewhere, probably say i hadnt checked in or loaded it but i know i did
  • I'm not sure if it matters whether or not you loaded it correctly as I doubt Amex customer service can check that. I got this back within a few hours when I contacted them:
    Hi Russell,

    Sorry to hear the £25.00 credit was not automatically applied to your account following a £50.00 transaction at Harrods on 4th February 2013, on the Card ending ****. I have applied a manual credit which will appear on the account within two working days.

    I contacted them on 13th Feb and it was in my account on 14th.
