In other news MSE have also blocked me from posting links to my Amex/Foursquare site even though I'm replying directly to questions. Seems like they don't actually want people to help others...

Perhaps if you removed the referral links from your website they wouldn't be so bothered?

Not sure how that's relevant. If I link to an article then chances are there'll be adverts alongside which generate revenue. Difference is my site doesn't have ads and the referrals are there to help and aren't a requisite. Meh!

Also if I wasn't the owner then I don't they'd care, which again, I can't see the difference in. I've only been thanked when linking to my site.

    Anyway, back OT...

  • Spent £51 in Shell which appeared on my statement on 14th Feb. Still no £15 credit. Getting nervous...

I know it can take 'up to two billing cycles' but it shouldn't really should it? Only done it once before for Gap and I'm sure that credit appeared more or less the same day as transaction appeared.

    Waiting patiently...:o

Mine not showing from buying fuel on 12th, last time, on a different account I bought fuel on 24th Jan and credit hit account on 26th Jan. Anyone had credits this week, I know it took longer at New Year for my Starbucks credit? TIA

No transactions posted through yesterday at all with Amex for some reason. So I wouldn't count yesterday as a day.

Yesterday wasn't a day, it was a nightmare! :rotfl:

Ooooh! I loaded my card yesterday. Will it not have worked? How can I check?

It wouldn't have affected you. It was transactions that were due to post yesterday.

My Shell transaction date 05/02 paid on 09/02.

I went Carphone warehouse and spent £25 on 10/02 and still waiting for the credit - when I did the last Carphone warehouse offer through Amexbox Halo 4 offer it took them 3 days to credit me. So I'm getting worried - like purplestar133 said above, it does say 2 billing cycles but for all the time I've done this it's been between 3-5 working days.
  • There's nothing to worry about. If the credit doesn't appear within 2 weeks then just contact Amex and they'll manually put it on within 24 hours.
