but what if the revised request for additional payment makes no mention of there being an error - but simply arrives as a confirmation?

Then just give them a ring and say that's not the price you saw on the website, and you want to cancel and get your money back.
  • Neither of you are getting your holiday for that cheap.
  • I too booked this holiday last Sunday. I was going to call Haven today but wanted to check a few points on theirs terms and conditions. Unfortunately this particular part of the website was having a "technical" problem when it came back on I found that Haven terms and condition have changed!!! Luckily I have printed a copy of terms and conditions on the 12th of November and this is what it said

Errors: whilst every effort is made to avoid errors, occasionally they may occur. Please check and, if necessary , query the details and price of your chosen holiday at the time of booking. Please also thoroughly check your holiday confirmation and contact us immediately if you have any queries.

Now this is what's said on terms and conditions today after this page has been down most of the day!

Errors All prices and offers are subject to change and errors subject to correction. If we discover an error in the pricing of the holiday you have booked, we will tell you and ask whether you wish to continue with the booking or cancel it (free of cancellation fees).

Uhm their T&C's did state the bottom version on the 12th. See my post and the one above it. Both were posted on the 12th so those T&C's existed on the 12th.

Googles cache is dated 12th november and is the same. Only place I can find the term you stated on havens T&C's was back from July 2011.

  • Well I have printed it by going on the Havens website and clicking in a link for t&c. Very strange and confusing.

So you didn't tick a box that said something like "I have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions"?

How did you manage to book without doing that?

    I couldn't when I just tried.
  • No I have ticked the box, what I was saying is that t&c were different to the ones that on the website at the moment. But as per post earlier now I'm confused as to what version of the t&c's I have. I will have to go thought the history in my computer and try to work it out.

Does the print out you have not have a date/time and website address or anything like that?

If they did change their T&Cs, it had to be prior to us 2 posting on here on the 12th (google cache is from after our posts). And if they have changed them......you're likely going to have to prove otherwise somehow if they deny it.
