Thanks ..... I dug myself out from £19k a couple of years ago (after many, many years of trying!) so small compared to that - but finances are a lot tighter now so it may be just as hard this time!getting-there-slowly wrote: »If not I would like to have a target of £2000 for the overdraft, CC is planned and ok but overdraft feels like a black hole!
Hi Getting there - my OD is like a black hole too! (and def the worst debt to try to sort out!)
I think it's like Happytogetdebtfree says, it's like negative wealth and, as it fluctuates as you use the account it feels harder to make progress - where with a c/card, you have a balance on a statement, pay a bit and know what the new balance will be (+ interest of course!) next month.
Good luck!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

Sorry, can I increase my goal again to £12,000 please? Member #17. I've done some more number-crunching and it's looking like I'll be able to pay off close to £14k which will halve my outstanding debt, but I'd like to leave myself a bit of wiggle-room while still having a challenge.
Target updated!

Can I join please
I have a balance on our summer holiday of £1934 (including spending money). This needs to be paid of before June. In the past I have let the time go and then panic the month before. I am hoping this thread will help me pay it off with time to spare.SPC #1813

I always like to be a bit generous on holiday so I would like to save £1000. Its always better to have money left over than not be able to do things.
I will edit my total to reflect bothSPC #1813
