Vent about a driver who chose to cut me up

Just need to vent about an effing idiot who was possibly inches away from driving into me. Just been cut up by a driver who wanted to go left at a turn off at some lights when I wanted to go straight on. Where was the sense in that, they were close to damaging her left rear corner of the car and my right hand side corner.. Does the highway code and common sense not apply to driving these days ? Ive seen terrible driving before but nothing as bad as this. Main thing is the car is fine which what id rather happen than having it in fo repairs.

I think a lot of problems are drivers from the continent who are not familiar with driving in Britain (wrong side of the road etc).
I think that foreign workers should have to take a short (not full) driving test to make sure they are safe on our roads.0 -
And breathe.... Although annoying, you have no control over other peoples behavior. Don't let it spoil your day.0

Yep Im completely calm and wont spoil the day. I understand that its trivial compared to other peoples rants eg those who may be having issues with an item bought from comet.0 -

Well you would think that would be in place but its not.0 -
The most important thing is that nobody was hurt. I've long felt that driving tests should be retaken every 3 years or so. (Hopefully with a growing realisation that there is no right to drive, more a privilege.)
Yes Im quite happy not no 1 was injured and like I said my car is undamaged.0 -
Perhaps I can lighten the mood with an (old) joke.
A yuppie is getting out of his car when someone drives too close and takes of his door and his arm. A police officer is quickly on the scene and the yuppie is screaming about the damage to his beautiful Beemer. After listening in disbelief for a while the policeman says to the yuppie, "You yuppies make me sick. You're going on and on about you blessed car and don't seem to be aware that he also took off your arm." The yuppie looks down to where his arm should be and a look of absolute horror appears on his face. He's literally speechless for a few seconds before managing to gasp: "My Rolex!".There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
"to the gentleman who cut me up yesterday - if you're looking for your wing mirror, you might want to try the canal at the end of your road"
Fantasize the fantasy, then breathe deeply and let it go - you're OK and uninjured, which is all that counts.0 -
I recently moved to Dublin and something that struck me as odd is there are adverts on tv showing people how to drive. Not warning adverts about drink driving, or texting while driving, just on how to drive. The one I saw yesterday was explaining the correct way to make a right hand turn, and I've seen another about how to use a roundabout, and another showing when not to overtake someone.
It's a bit concerning that someone thought it necessary to put these adverts on. But perhaps they should make their way across the puddle in case your woman sees them and learns something!0 -

what's with the 'erm lane' - that large strip of tarmac the other side of a solid white line on the left side of the cariage way?
we've called it the 'erm lane' as when you ask anyone what's with that bit of the road the first thing they say is 'erm' :rotfl:just in case you need to know:
