As already mentioned, the Lloyds machines in Newcastle (3 that I know of) dispense fivers.

Add to this:

Barclays inside the branches at : South Shields, Sunderland, Gateshead and Chester le Street.

The vast majority of Barclays internal machines (smaller machines, usually free standing, about chest height) will dispense £5 notes.

i have an account at abbey and if i go to a barclays cash machine i can withdraw just £5. but if i put in my halifax card i cant do it. the machine says nope.

my barclays dispence £5.00 u have to use the machine inside though not sure if its all over but def in canterbury

My local RBS had a massive make over and installed new bank machines. These were supposed to dish out £5 notes and certainly the option is on the screen. Then you glance at the bottom and the machine states "only denominations of £10 are available"

Barclays in Fareham and at the SU at Southampton Solent both dish out fivers, I've had them from both machines
