What would you do with fillet of pork?

I really, really don't think so. Those recipes need something cheaper which will be improved by longer cooking. The fillet should be roasted preferably a la Delia or Jamie or similar and the slow-cooking left for another much cheaper cut.
Good point! I hadn't thought of that. I bought it reduced at £1.60 and only ever buy it reduced. Mind you, having had a look in the JO book I got from the library today, there's a recipe for pork loin and it's for a whole loin; this skinny little bit would just need a quick cook or it would all dry up. Thanks anyway; you've made me realise I've got a little gem; I tend not to think of it like that because as I said it was cheap!0 -

Pork & apple casserole.
I put apples, onions, celery, pearl barley, beef oxo, tsp paprika, bayleaf, & garlic in the slow cooker with the pork.
Serve with mash or rice.
Sounds lovely, but I think I will save your idea for when I get some cheaper pork; shoulder is sometimes on offer at £3 kg.0 -

.
Toast sesame seeds and put to one side.
Stir fry grated root ginger and crushe clove garlic in hot oil.
Stir in and fry pork sliced thinly until golden brown.
Add tiny brocolli florets for few mins
Add jar oyster sauce.
Meanwhile cook egg noodles as instructions.
Drain noodles and add to pan.
Mix together with half sesame seeds and cook.
Serve sprinkled with remaining seeds sprinkled on top.
I'm so glad I've had my dinner! That sounds lovely although I've got to freeze some of this afterward and the meat is currently frozen, so it will have to be used up or cooked then frozen. I think I'm going to end up taking several ideas and making up a new recipe! And several other ideas to go in the recipe notebook for later.:)0 -

I've done that one.....maybe.....is it this?

From the How to Cook book......though that recipe is slightly different from the original one in the book which asks for Granny Smith's apples not Cox's and just dry cider, not Waitrose cider
It's delicious.....and so quick and easy.
I've halved the recipe too.0
