Morning all
We will remember them.
Feeling a lot better today so up and at em! Ironing done, cooked breakfast, washing on the line and kitchen tidied.
Weather glorious so will be looking for more washing.
Going to go out for a look at picture frames, I found my mum's stamp collection (nothing valuable, I think she liked the pictures) and thought I would fill a frame with stamps which will be a way of keeping them.
Apart from that, got dinner to cook for friends this afternoon, going to use the monster gammon joint.
Enjoy your Sundays all. Take care. XX0 -
Morning all,
Remembering all our service personnel today, both past and present, I always have a little weep today, I think its very important to remember xx
Bright and sunny here, but freezing cold, have 2 wash loads to do, will get them both on the line.
OH is at the boot sale and dd still in bed, will give her a shout after this, but she has been working so hard, both at college and work, and then doing homework and then uni applications that a good lay in will do her good.
Will go and see my dad today, either at lunch time or tea time, I also need to list some more bits in ebay, and pack my other bits which finish today.
Dinner will either be jacket spuds or soup, depending on what people want, dd will want soup as she hates jackets, and OH will want a jacket :rotfl:
Will ask OH to get the dog out for a long walk, and if possible mow thew lawn, it needs a final cut before winter, but its always been too wet up till now.
Have lovely days all
And please remember to put food and water out for the wild birds xx0 -
Morning all,
had a busy day yesterday grocery and clothes shopping. Bought some undies and a tunic dress for me. As usual its black, leggings will be black but i am hunting now for a cheapish pair of bright red shoes and a red bag to go with it. I might blend into the background but the shoes and the bag might give the game away. We have a wedding to go to just after Christmas which will give me the perfect opportunity to wear them.
I must admit, hubby consenting to paying for our sons driving lessons for Christmas has taken a lot of the pressure off me but i must remember not to go overboard.
Ive got stuff listed on Ebay with bids on. I hope they pay up. All more money for the Christmas fund!
Not sure what we are doing later, its best not to make too many plans for the weekend as they invariably change at the last minute.
Hope you have a great day all,

DD has gone to her first spin class this morning(very fast cycling on static bikes) so no doubt will have aching muscles later. Gammon in coke for dinner and I need to sort out some wool and fabric. Morning everyone,
Not slept again last night because of the pain so looks like a quiet day for me. Is wise - think I will get oh to help me get all my paperwork in one room and finally organize it nearly 7 years worth. Dinner will be braising steak with veg, mash and gravy, unless we get invited to one of the parentals. Its freezing out and Jake won't go out for his business-took one feel of the cold air and curled up and fell asleep.
Elaine- you have my sympathy and hugs. Take it easy. X
Jackie- I hope your DD is recovering OK and enjoying being looked after. Xx
Bitsy- hope you have a nice day. Xx
Carly - you OK hun? Xx
Nmlc, moorhen, Camelot,Time to, island and anybody else I missed I hope you have a lovely Sunday xx
Lesst we forget. To all the servicemen and woman thank you. X huge hugs everyoneXx0 -
Good morning all.
Didn't get on yesterday, so I hope everyone is ok x
Jackie, I hope your daughter is recovering fast. You are a wonderful mother x
Bitsy, I really want to see Skyfall but haven't got any babysitters. Tbh, I just want to ogle Daniel Craig.
Took the older 2 children to see Madagascar 3 in the cinema yesterday. It cost just under £22 for the 3 of us. I took water from home and sweets from pound land.
Cooked a chicken yesterday so am going to make that into a pie for dinner. Have veg in the fridge, broccoli, carrots and cabbage.
Need to do a good amount of housework today. It's never ending.
I'm a celeb starts tonight. I love that. I know, carp tv, but it amuses me. Tbh, it's Ant and Dec that do it for me. I find them very funny.
That's the only reality programme I watch.
We've observed the silence. Even my youngest managed to be quiet for the 2 minutes. It always makes me sob. I just can't imagine the horrors our troops went through. I have family in the army as well. A cousin injured in Fawklands and another 2nd cousin lost a leg in Afghanastan. His best friend was killed next to him.:(
I need to get on with my day.
Elaine, maybe some mild sleeping tablets from Boots may help for the short term

... I'm trying to fill the freezer with healthy stuff so there's no room for rubbish. But I also want space for Christmas food, I'll have to put a few empty boxes in the back of the drawers to make it look full...
That's a great idea Tru - will have to pinch that....DH has pounced on the solar indoor lamps I ordered and has commandeered them for downstairs. Quite funny because if I has asked him about buying them he would have said it was a waste but now he has seen them he is chuffed at the idea of free light
Ooh, can i ask where you found those Elona?mrsmortenharket wrote: »....Bitsy, I really want to see Skyfall but haven't got any babysitters. Tbh, I just want to ogle Daniel Craig....
We went last weekend - DH had to poke me when I was drooling too much!! :rotfl:
Am in baking mode today - all for CiN, we're having it early as some of the office gang will be caught up in election work on Thursday & Friday - rocky road, banana muffins, double chocolate cheesecake, gingerbread & a Smartie-covered chocolate cake for the disabled niece of one of the girls. Will have to watch DH doesn't pinch any!0 -

Just checking in; our fallen Heroes and Heroines are very much in my thoughts this day.
The following is on the "Tales From The Crow Man" CD, and is very poignant for today:

Well we had a nice girls night in last night with my 2 friends. Got cheapo version of takeaway from Asda, pile of magazines, wine and we watched Strictly, X Factor, played scrabble (see my FB for the rude version we made!) and gossiped.
This morning we went for breakfast and spot of retail therapy. Then I disappeared off to walk on the beach by myself, had my 2mins of silence there to remember. Then went to Aldi for the Super 6 stuff and to Home Bargains.
I'm now cwtched in on sofa under duvet watching a cheesy filmI plan to make a veggie roast tonight, have prepped the veg ready. I may bake a cake too.
OS wise - tidied up after last night, WM been on and is on radiators, one more load will go in later, recyclingto go out.
Have a good day all
