  • I just watched the video in question. How on earth could anyone have possibly seen any names on the list??

Even with the new £600,000 4K2K technology TV with 4 times the resolution of blu-ray, a still of the second he hands the paper over to cameron would not show anything.

I watched the whole interview so not sure what this is all about?

If Schofield was genuinely concerned he should've given the list to the police.

Do you really think that this wasn't a publicity stunt and that what Schofield did was responsible 'journalism' or are you just trolling?

I am of the opinion that child abuse is brushed under the carpet on a "too regular basis", recent events highlight the issue.

There is also a massive (but kept quiet) child abuse problem with "child grooming", by groups, there has been the odd case brought to light about this subject, but no great strides made, and it needs stopping.

I have no desire to see innocent people smeared and wrongly accused or convicted, although this will inevetably happen, because wrongful arrests/convictions occur within the justice system for all types of criminal activity.

I am however keen to see the subject given the attention it deserves.

Now for PS, hes wasn't my cup of tea so to speak, I dont watch him on TV, except to catch a bit of him while my other half watches ice dancing thing, in any case hes seems an OK type of fella.

He had a chance while interviewing the PM to get a message across, a message that stuck a chord with me, so he presented a list to the PM, rightly or wrongly (I personally think rightly), IMO he did it from his heart, and honestly, not for publicity, and not for his own gain, my guess is it will cost him for doing so, we will see.

I have no desire to comment any further about him or it etc.

For Heaven's sake, give them a chance!

I suggested you contact TA - yesterday at 09:50, you posted at 10:22 to say you'd contacted them.

I doubt very much that they are sat waiting for emails to arrive so they can reply immediately.

And, it's more serious than just having a post deleted and asking for a reason why.
    Your account has been disabled.

I've seen some pretty nasty things posted on TA, not just about off-topic things, but about other posters on TA and those people are still posting.

TA must have thought what you posted was pretty severe so don't you think they'll be checking it out instead of just saying 'OK, we'll let Pedro123456 come back to play?

I find it very strange that TA disabled your account without telling you why they'd done that.
Or don't you want to share that snippet of information with us?

Maybe it will inevitably happen but if people are wrongly arrested or convicted, one would hope that there was at least some evidence (however spurious it might be) but Phillip Schofield's action was crass and ill-thought out (and that's being kind to him).

If I was Lord McAlpine I'd be suing the a s s off everyone who was involved in the smear campaign and dimwit Philip Schofield would be at the top of my list.

Believe me, Pedro, I am not in a tizzy.

I just can't understand someone who is so impatient to get an answer - maybe it's you who is in a tizzy?

    Yes, we do disagree.
You obviously think it's perfectly acceptable for someone to be accused of something that's one of the worst crimes there could be without there being any basis in the accusation.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guily?
I thought that was the 'system' - by which I assume you mean the law of the land.

Do tell me what you think is inappropriate about the word 'a s s'?

I refer you to MSE guidelines:

What is acceptable language on the forum? We will follow BBC guidelines for pre-watershed language as indicated on the BBC website.

Maybe you could check out the BBC guidelines to see if the word I used is classed as inappropriate by them.

    Oh! It's the BBC. :rotfl:

Forum etiquette advice? From someone who has had their account disabled?:rotfl:

Pollycat is absolutely spot on with her posts. Your attempts to belittle her do nothing to further your argument, in fact, they just confirm your immaturity (anyone who would post that on Trip Advisor needs to grow up a little). FYI, if someone is wrongly accused or convicted it means the system is flawed. It is NOT acceptable to falsely accuse someone of a crime and to then brush that mistake off as being a necessary casualty in the quest to find the real perpetrator.

What an idiotic comment. Hate to shatter your over active imagination but the number 1 is used purely because the user name "gregg" was not available at the time I joined. But hey, maybe you could post your thoughts about it on Trip Advisor. Oh, sorry, forgot, you have been banned for making stupid comments.

Now run along and please don't waste any more time worrying about my user name. Believe me, you have far more serious issues to be worrying about than my user name!!
  • Edited to make it correct.
