Oh my word! I think I have feet somewhere but I certainly can't feel them. We had a super 'Fair' and made nearly £500 for Open Arms (that's the name of our drop-in) with more to come in. Once I'd put my stall up I spent the rest of the day in the kitchen cooking and dispensing bacon and sausage baps, Soup and Pudds and everything was HM. Think I could have done a profitable sideline in selling recipes - everyone wanted one. Don't think many people actually cook from scratch so when they taste anything HM they think it is
something special..and it's not, it's all really pretty basic stuff.
FB: So glad you are feeling better today.
nlj: Good luck with the Housing Officer, the sooner he gets away from Mr Nasty the better. Fingers crossed for you and your DS.
Moorhen: Oh well done on the weight loss. I'd love a bit of your determination - says she whose food intake today has been 2 sausage baps and a doughnut!
Uolypool: I firmly believe in Karma - they will get their just deserts, hopefully quite soon.
Julie: Cotton wool soaked in neat TCP and rammed over the offending tooth. After you've drunk the brandy.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes to DS1. His family are all delighted that he is so bubbly and positive. He reckons that realistically it will take about a year for him to get everything sorted and himself back on an even keel.
It's true. You never stop worrying about them, do you?

Evening, just checking in on all of you, x factor just finished, glass of wine in hand, is that bad?...No, don't answer, you lot might make me feel guilty...
Well, my 'get up and go' never came back.....so so far today I have done very little. I called to my parents, came home, made lunch, put a wash on, (its still in the machine) did half the ironing..well, in fairness my super duper express iron has decided to give up the ghost, I thought it was just the button would not stay in to keep it switched on, but despite all my efforts to try to fix it I actually I think thing has given up the ghost, so so did I, it was too much like hard work today. I need to buy another, but unfortunately I will not be buying a big a replacement because funds just don't allow at the moment....ah well, good excuse for me!
Take away for tea, in front of the rugby, its really the only sport I watch on TV, and we all get very excited and loud during the match, it was a good start for the Irish lads, but we were beaten by 3 points...not good, so felt the need for a glass of wine to chill....anyway, thats my excuse!
MG, slow down, you are making me dizzy, wish I had some of your energy, you amaze me! Well done on the Fayre proceeds.
Donny-gal, Happy anniversary, enjoy your evening. We celebrated our 28th a couple of weeks ago.
Julie, I feel your pain, hope you get it sorted soon, nothing as bad as toothache.
Those ladies losing weight, well done, I am envious of you, I figure I have lost approx 50 stone over the last 20 years, but I just never manage to keep it off...thinking I might try Slimming W****d in the new year.
Lou, baby Jacob is a cutie, I would just love a hug...
FB, enjoy your girlie night in, nothing like good friends and lots of laughs.
Thats it, I am done, I just can't remember what I just read....hate when that happens.
Hope you all have good evenings ahead, hoping to go to bed soon to catch up on my beauty sleep, will see you all tomorrow. Night night.Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone,
FB - I was born at 24 weeks and only weighed lb 14oz, IV had a heart murmur since then, IV not had a problem since I was a baby apart from they keep a eye on it when I'm in hospital or having surgery. I hope its not to severe and you can have your op sooner rather than later.
Carly - Show your oh the email see what he says. I went through hell with my ohs best friend for the first 3 years of our relationship. I took his play mate and he hated me.
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Donny.
Bb - huge thank you for the recipe. I will let you know how I go.
Julie - my teeth are destroyed off morphine and I find combining ibu and paracetamol help and a hot water bottle seems to help.
Uolypool- some idiots can't help themselves. I hope your sons OK.
Is wise here the last couple of days not a lot apart from basic housework that oh has been doing. IV been feeling awful and could sleep for a year.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend and hugs x0
