You could do better than that and ask HMRC or UKBA or whatever they're called this week, what they do with the 5000 cars they steal every year off honest UK shoppers at Dover who dare to spend their hard earned money in other countries.
Just take a look at your friend Google.

When I used to run my own auction house we appeared in several 'pay for' publications. One consistently invented days that we were having auctions, every so often on a quiet day we would get several irate people turning up to buy stuff. They even made up what we were selling, so pay sites are probably not the best source of information, although there may be some good ones. Have a good check before parting with any money, after all it isn't information that auction houses want to keep secret, they all want customers..0

Be aware of using Bumblebee. Here is my story so far -
Bumblebee auctions have now had over £100 of my money for just about 2 months now yet no items have turned up. I won a couple of auctions for text books that I was hoping to resell on Amazon and paid after a couple of days via NoChex (the only method allowed). They say delivery will be within 28 days.
After a month and no books i emailed them, and got a very abrupt reply pointing out it was only 26 working days since I paid.
2 days later still no books, another email. Reply said books will be with me shortly.
Another few days, another chase email, this time "I'm picking them up this Wednesday, then posting them to you".
Another week, chased again, "I'm picking them up tomorrow".
I then noticed the transactions had disappeared from the NoChex site so emailed the guy at Bumblebee and copied in the police force involved. Got another abrupt response saying they will be collected and posted soon.
I've sent another chaser today, and in 2 days when it's 2 months since I paid I'm going to give them 14 days until I start legal action to retreive my money.
I've also emailed NoChex separately about the missing transactions.0 -
Update: finally got a reply from the police force concerned. Basically although Bumblebee state 'allow up to 28 days for postage' they only collect items from the force 'every few weeks' and they missed my lots the last time they collected from them. So basically I have to wait for however long 'at least several weeks' might be. So much for 28 days.0

Any police / customs auctions sites for people in the NW?
Some auctions will imply that they carry such stock but don't.
It isn't always the best way of buying and not necessarily the best way to get a bargain. Half the time people will be paying over the odds for an item that has no guarantees and may not be any good with no consumer rights to return/replace.
Auctions are a bit of a minefield if you don't know what you're doing..0 -

Very old thread here that users might want to take a look at as well as doing a Google search which brings up some interesting results:
