I could try to budget the £102.80 from next months shopping budget but don't want to cut it too tight. I think I'll borrow it from his inheritance ATM and see what I can trim from the budgets next month (starting 22/05) as I am all budgeted up to the end of the month.
I haven't added on the interest earned on the savings yet as it doesn't hit until the 5th. That should be £7. I have 1/2 a tank of petrol but DD has aparty to get to on Saturday which is about 15 miles away so I will have to take her. I'll then have to refill so will probably use the remainder of my petrol budget. Luckily DH has got a full tank. It's 23 days until payday, so if I use 1 1/2 tanks of petrol I'll not be a happy bunny. If DH can take DD to school tomorrow or Friday then I can walk DS to preschool those days. I should be able to walk her there on Weds- I'll try.
I really want to get my spending down to minimum but the problem is all these parties that DD goes to cost a fortune and we had a bbq yesterday for my Bday and noone else brings any alcohol or food. We always take both if we go somewhere for a bbq- am I just odd?
Anyhoo, I have enough food in to last the month so I should get away with buying fruit for DD/DS, dried milk powder for breadmaker and milk for tea/coffee/cereal.
Am I the only person who picks up money lying in the road? I like to think I'm not but would prefer that noone else in my town does it so there's more for me!!!

Not if you're on nights surely? It's like night of the living dead for me when I do nights and I do them all the time!
I just hate going shopping at all and tend to make a shopping list before I leave home and then shop online during my break! I think we will probably lose our access soon though to save the trust some money (don't know how it will save them any money though). It'll be a shame because I do work and research while I have 2 spare minutes during the night!
Have a good night red sheep, I'm off to bed soon. Kaz - my sat nav saved my relationship, I would not be without it now. Ok it didn't singlehandedly save my relationship, but the screaming matches that used to occur when the BF didn't map read properly !! Now I just shout at the sat nav, but he just finds that amusing. I agree with CAFCGirl, see if you can find the money in a budget somewhere else, do you need to get it now ? How about getting it at the end of the month and saving really hard during the month for it.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0

Another NSD for me - but just checked account (as always do first thing) and OH is spending again  He says that he doesn't spend much money, but I am going to add all his spending up for the last couple of months and show HIM who is REALLY spending the money - coz it ain't ME!!!!
Queenie - I think I have PMS at the moment, as not a happy bunny and can't quite seem to shake it off - don't know why, just can't, but would never dream of being rude to anyone, let alone on these threads. That's the thing about writing something down; how someone interprets it could be completely different to how it is written, as there is no tone, etc. Anyway, don't let them get you down.... just put it down to breedingWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -

Well I'm being very studious at the mo and am working hard breaking up the concrete outside. I've done well so far but I've run out of bags outside and thought that meant it was time for a coffee break!
The reason I want to get the satnav now is because comet are discontinuing it so it's cheaper (about £80 off!) but I'm budgeted until the 22nd. If I don't get it now then it will probably not be there when I do go for it (that's what usually happens to me) and it's a good model for a good price.
The money is sitting there in the savings account so I think I should just borrow that and work out a way to replace it from next months budget.
The savings have taken a bit of a hammering as you can see from my sig but I don't have to repay all of it imediately I want it repaid before christmas though!
I'm trying with the cutting down on the grocery budget to get some money together and have done reasonably well this month but we just need to have no cost weekends for the next few weeks!
I may not be able to get it anyway as it could be gone completely by the time I speak to my sister. I can't get one delivered to me because there aren't any in my area but my sister lives in Reading and they had some there yesterday. Trouble is I would then have to go up there to get it or pay for her to get it delivered to here. I'm still cogitating as you can see.
Once I have phoned the manufacturers and found out about updates for it I will have a better idea.

OK I'm a little bit calmer now............
*breaths in and out*
Day off today and shockingly I've only just got out of bed!
Need to get showered and dressed, walk into town and do my mystery shop.
Will also check other acct as well and see if my money has finally cleared!!!!
It's starting to get very annoying.
I'd be better off taking it out in cash and paying it into the other one, at least then its immediate...
other than that, I've got lots of housework and laundry to do. Making sausage casserole tonight too. Cannot spend any money on food till friday so am desperately trying to stick to my meal plan. Problem is..... I ate all my rubber chicken which was supposed to do 3 meals!!!!
Tasted damn good thoughWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Had a NSD day yesterday, was hard resisting the ice cream van though! The unneccesary challenge and healthy eating are a good combination!
Hopefully won't spend any money today either, think the week will get harder as we are off to Ireland on Thursday for a long weekend and it's far too easy to spend money when you are on holiday!
SF - congrats on getting a first on your essay, very impressive!
