Haven't had time to read through all the pages I've missed - I started to at work but boss was in.

(am v. proud n hope their virtual Nan will be too!!:D )
We've got in from swimming and did bedtime half an hour ago but they are still awake:eek:
I have spent 1.11 of the new budget today on a pint of milk, a can of energy drink and a chocolate croissant , leaving me 8.89 for the rest of the weekI know they weren't the best purchases I could have made and I could claim the 35p back from work for the milk but it's the 1st time I've bought any in a year so I don't mind.
Hope everyone's OK:beer:

Congrats to Jet's DDs.
CAFCGirl - what is it with transfers between accounts they appear to be taking longer and longer, is that the banks way of making some money by keeping hold of ours but not paying us any interest ?
Debty Betty - taking lunch to work definately helps. For the first time ever the BF is attempting to lose some weight too, so that makes things a little easier, as I won't get him tempting me with all sorts of nice things.
slowlyfading - yay for finishing your essay and congrats on the first for your other essay.
well done to those who stuck to their diet today, stuck to mine dispite feeling slightly hungry in the afternoon. Managed to resist the supply of chocolate etc at work and just drank more Dr Pepper Zero.
No spend day for me today, infact I don't even have £10 cash.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
It's not so much the interest but the 2nd acct is my spending money acct, and all the time it's out of one and not in the other, I'm spending out of the other to cover myself!
ARRGGHH!
And something completely off topic, is it just me or do a lot of people on the DFW board in general, seem to have PMS or something. I've had some quite rude remarks on threads of mine, and noticed them on other peoples threads as well.
Surely if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all.
I'm all for constructive criticism and pointing out some home truths or whatever, but just plain old rudeness just equals lack of manners to me!!

Simple, it's because they don't have the Queen and Queen Mum keeping them in check......... and we do :jHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

You are supposed to be our cheerful leader!
I'm going to put in a formal request to please be allowed to buy a garmin nuvi sat nav jobby. I can get it for £239.99 online but get 5% off and 3.5% cash back so should be £220.
I've got £70 birthday money from yesterday and have £47.20 in my purse. DH said I can have the rest of the money from his inheritance but I want it to be mine and my spend as I don't want him getting grief from his Mum and we're trying to boost his inheritance money back up from the house bashing it. So I want to borrow the £102.80 and repay it. This means that I am unnecissarily spent for the next 15 weeks. Can I do this?
I figured: I had my hair cut on Tuesday, I got a nice dress for my birthday and some skirts in a charity shop last month, I can wait for the colour for my hair and I bought new undies a few weeks ago. So I think I can manage for a wee while.
If the rules of the challenge allow me to put a big -£102.80 today and update it weekly then I would really like to get this. If I can't get it from this then I'm going to have to be inventive!

Can you not budget for it in the coming weeks? From somewhere else maybe?
The whole arrgghh comes from my sheer annoyance. Cheerful leaders evening off. The whip cracking/evil twin is in residence! The twin who hates unhelpful posts which ruin her evenings thread!!! And no not aimed at any of you, you're all lovely...
I think I'm gonna have to start getting a life away from MSE!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I'm a, currently working nights, when I looked in my desk draw and saw loads of change which has accumulated there. Thinking to myself that i am crap with money. Not knowing how much I really have / don't have in cash. Then I discovered this forum. Count me in for the £10 a week unneccessary budget.
Better start counting all my pennies lying around to start me off!!Redsheep
