Item removed from sale by ebay, what next?

eBay specifically prohibit the sale of Nazi memorabilia except stamps.
I don't blame them - they tend to stay away from controversial items and that is their right; and personally I don't think they belong in private hands anyway. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it - it's also illegal in Germany and computer game designers have to go out of their way not to program in Nazi symbols.
I'd worry about people selling these on eBay as well - I've had a KKK memorabilia seller shut down and eBay have a problem with endemic racism on one of their message boards. Part of stopping neo-Nazis in Germany is not to allow them to broadcast their symbols so people can rally round them.
I know the argument about 'it happened, you can't change the past' but I would worry that someone collecting these (as opposed to a stamp collector) was doing it for dubious reasons. Sensitivity is important - there are some instances where the swastika is understood to be OK but in some others I don't think you can handwave it as a good luck symbol.
eBid is a waste of time. You would get peanuts for it, and they have a catch-all 'Offensive' items category: 'What we deem "offensive". eBid may at its discretion, remove items and refund listing fees. eBid reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of listings posted to our site. There can be cultural differences and sensitivities. Please be careful to post items that are appropriate for our global community.'"Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

If you have the email addresses of the interested parties then you could setup a sales page on ebid, with the obscured symbol and point them at it. That way you'd get the best price as they would be able to outbid each other.
Still banned on eBid, though. You wouldn't get away with an obscured symbol because the cap-badge would still be a German WW2 item - which is going to be obviously of Nazi origin."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
