  • Morning all,:hello:

Thank you for the welcome wishes.

Last night was not as productive as i'd have liked as Mr Shepherd had the log burner going by the time i got home - did mean that the load of washing was dried by this morning so one thing ticked off my list along with cleaning the bathroom and bootroom.
Last nights tea was nice but wish id put more filling in the pies when id made them. Note to self not to be so tight next time as MrS did make quite a few comments about the lack of meat compared to the shop bought ones. ooopppps
Tea tonight should be hm burgers with what ever left made into meat balls for another night. But knowing Mr S he will want takeaway - by the way im the OS one in our house, Mr S lives for today and spends like he has a hole in his pocket and its me that does all the saving.

Wishing all that have already posted and that follow a lovely happy Friday. My Fav day of the week as have 2 days at home on the farm rather than the rat race. :D

Need a bit of food shopping but not much. Planning to take DS to see sky fall on Saturday afternoon and then home for Strictly. Sunday is going to be a trip to see mum and dad in Yorkshire. The following Sunday they come to stay and fly out early hours of Monday morning. Good morning everyone, quick one from me....soooo glad its Friday, although it is really wet and miserable here this morning. What I did not say last night was a big welcome to all the newbies and the returners, so glad to see so many people posting. Jen, enjoy shopping with your Mum today, as another poster says treat yourself, even if it is something small, you deserve it. JO, so glad your DD is over her OP and on the mend. Will be happy when 5.30 arrives, no idea whats for tea, maybe something on toast. Bye for now, have a good day all, will be back later.
Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:

Morning, overcast here, but at least it's not raining. Had a very tiring (but enjoyable) day yesterday, so plan to take it a bit easier today. Working from home, then up to OHs for the weekend and swimming session with my son tomorrow.
Need to pop into town to post some stuff, but otherwise I just am going to crack on with this work which has to be finished by Thursday next week.
Lunch will be a left over stuffed baked potato. I bake the spuds, then mash the flesh and add chopped chorizo, cheese, peas, onions, peppers, celery, mushrooms etc and pile it back into the skin and re-heat. Really flavoursome.
    Have a good day all.

    Happy birthday Adelight x
JackieO - glad DD is ok. I know I'll be saying "I'm fine, don't worry" to my mum when I have my op next week! :rotfl:

One extravagance I need to cut back on is Kindle and iTunes stuff - I've spent £32 this month on them, and £85 last month (£122 the previous month when I was at home recovering from my op)

Tiglath - have you seen this website for free Kindle books? You can set up daily email alerts for different genres. Okay most of the free books aren't by known authors, but I don't care what I read as long as it's interesting! Also for music, do you know about Spotify? I haven't downloaded anything in years now!

I had a nice time at the gig the last night. Arrived in Bristol just after 5pm and met my other friend there. We had dinner in a nice pub, and my brother and his GF arrived just in time for desert. Nice to have a catch up with them, and hear about their wedding plans (sometime 2014). Then we went to the gig. Rizzle Kicks were brilliant :D, but the support act was rubbish. We felt quite old there as it was full of kids/teens. The only older people appeared to be chaperoneing the kids :rotfl:. We didn't get back til 1am though so am little tired today.

I have hospital appointment for pre-operation checks this morning at 11am, so not going into work until after that. I had some time owing to me anyways so not an issue. Won't get any work done today as we have a big meeting all afternoon.

Think I'm having a quiet night in tonight, was hoping to see my friend but not sure if he will be back from working away.

OS wise - laundry needs to be put away, stirfry for tea to use up veg, general tidy and hoover.

    Have a good day all

    Good morning everyone :)

Cold and damp here today, I think I am getting old as I am feeling the cold so much this year and my joints are aching too :(

JackieO - am so glad your daughter's op went well. I felt terrible the first night after mine but the next day was much better so hopefully she will be feeling on the mend today.

Very well done to Miss Tru and her new job.

Birthday greetings to Adelight, Mr MeanMarie and anyone else who has their special day today :bdaycake:

Posting ebay parcels and have some more finishing later so fingers crossed for the debt paying and Christmas funds. Then a
Drs appointment, then shopping tonight. I want to do a big batch cook for the freezer tomorrow so need to look what is on offer this week for that.

Sunday's plans are to make homemade Christmas decorations, calendar and cards with GDD. I think I will need plenty of newspaper on the table as she does tend to go a bit wild with the glue and glitter!

Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Have a super day :)

a happy birthday to Adelight and Meanmarie. I hope you both have a lovely day.

So glad Shelly's op went ok JackieO. As Mums we never stop worrying about them do we?

Good to hear about Miss Tru's new job. I hope she enjoys it.

Its a cold damp day here but i am sitting here watching the squirrels play in the trees. They are so easy to see these days because of the leaf fall.

Oh well, best get on with the rest of the day, its no good sitting here daydreaming ive got stuff to do.

    Have a good day all,
