This is my gorgeous Ben who had to be PTS three weeks ago. I'm really really missing him! We got him as a pup 11 years ago, when I gave up my office job to work from home, so he was such a big part of our lives.

In a few months time, when we've had some foreign holidays we intend to adopt an oldie, maybe a springer spaniel, but about 10 years old!!!

What a beautiful dog - thank you for sharing him with us.

OK lets change the pace a little, has anyones kids/grandkids got those interactive bears. I'm thinking of buying one for 6 yr old niece xmas but not sure if they any good ?

    Tia

    Evening all:D:D
Again, I don't post often because of shyness, however, I promise I am not a baddie:D
I bought my niece one of these the first time round (think it was about 98?), remember it being one of the most wanted pressies , even paying well over the odd's to have it for xmas *shudders* wouldn't even pay full price for anything now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyhow, back on subject, My niece was absolutely petrified of the furby and we had to take the batteries out. So..... Being the good mum that I am now (ha ha ha) have bought my own darling daughter not 1 but 2 (bought in the T's 3 4 2 promo) for crimbo:eek::eek::eek: I figured if she doesn't talk to them, they can talk to each other and I can [STRIKE]play[/STRIKE] I mean talk to them, they might not give as much back chat as my own offspring do:rotfl::rotfl:

No pets here :( even though my kids have been going on about having a dog for years!

One for the dog owners if you don't mind please:D
As I know their are a lot on here & know you will give your honest opinion :)
How much trouble are your dogs? Are they like having a toddler? & how long can they be left indoors alone? Say like while you are at work, day trip

Oh & one more sorry :) do they mind being indoors while your at work?
Depends what you mean by trouble taking them out for a walk when it is pouring down, cold and dark yes generally not nice especially when the dirty sods then decide to run everywhere once inside and dry themselves on the rug:eek:
No toddlers grow up and become a bigger pain dogs get easier.
No idea how long they can be left ours are in alone from 830- 2ish saying that they also sleep by themselves from 12ish depending how busy I am on here till 630.
No idea but when I come in they are just waking up stretching etc so am guessing they sleep a good bit of it because when we are off they are goosed by 6 at night.
Wish we had got them years ago someone posted earlier about the love they give you totally agree always glad to see you even when as pups they have left you little presents all over.
Only you can decide. Hope you make the right decision.
If your kids are like mine honest I will clean up/walk etc yes they do for about a week :rotfl:but love playing with them even the 19 year old (thats my son aau1 not the dog before you ask) when no one is looking :D

Such a handsome boy - for all animal lovers they are part of the family, I think it is lovely that you are going to adopt an older dog as they often get overlooked

Always the 'checking my laces' technique

or my fav the 'walking with a limp' shuffle, where your foot simply happens to drag a receipt along

also known as the 'gum on my shoe' :D

Lol, I favour the "hanging out near the trolley bay pretending I'm deep in conversation on my mobile whilst casually picking up stray receipts from a trolley" technique! :D

Years ago I nearly dislocated my shoulder trying to reach a receipt in a long line of trolleys at Tesco. I do have hypermobile joints, but was being a bit optimistic lol!
A few weeks a go I tried to step from one the back of one trolley bay into the one that backed onto it and I cracked my head really hard on a metal bar as I was bending down! :o It hurt so much that I instantly got tears in my eyes, and the worst thing was that the receipt only had a couple of items on it.

WARNING! Wombling can be bad for your health!:rotfl:

    Yup, looks like.:(

I'm not going to add my 2 cents. I wouldn't say anything that hasn't been said by others already

havent had chance to catch up on everything.
    hope everyone is ok
thankyou for your posts regarding oh operation. all is well, considering, hes up and mobile, blood presure a bit up and down and he has a slight temperature. doctor assures us that he can attend his mothers funeral tomorrow, even if it means i take him back to hospital after, so thats one less thing he, and i, have to worry about. dreaded the thought of having to leave him at the hospital on his own whilst supporting the rest of the family during the service.
your support during this difficult time has been priceless, so thankyou once again xxxxxxxxx
