What about the emergency stops in the carpark when one flies in front of the car.I don't put my seat belt on till I get to the carpark exit just in case I have to jump out a bit sharpish, which have done on quite a few occasions:o:o:o

This is my gorgeous Ben who had to be PTS three weeks ago. I'm really really missing him! We got him as a pup 11 years ago, when I gave up my office job to work from home, so he was such a big part of our lives.

In a few months time, when we've had some foreign holidays we intend to adopt an oldie, maybe a springer spaniel, but about 10 years old!!!

Aww, Ben is gorgeous. What a handsome boy! :grinheart
Big hugs to you, it's so hard when they go as they are part of the family. x:A
Well done for thinking of adopting an older dog. I adopted my Amber aged 8 and she is such a poppet! She's nearly 11 now and still has her silly puppy moments in between snoozing! :D

No pets here :( even though my kids have been going on about having a dog for years!

One for the dog owners if you don't mind please:D
As I know their are a lot on here & know you will give your honest opinion :)
How much trouble are your dogs? Are they like having a toddler? & how long can they be left indoors alone? Say like while you are at work, day trip

Oh & one more sorry :) do they mind being indoors while your at work?

I think of lot depends on what breed & age you go for?
Pups are obviously harder work and need training and house training while an older dog should be past all that!
I leave my dogs for 4 hours max and come home at lunch time to let them out and/or give them a quick walk. I'm lucky I've mostly worked near my home or part time.

My two (greyhound & lurcher) are lazy and happy to snooze all day with 2 walks. A collie or spaniel would have more stamina & want longer walks than my two.

Do you have family or neighbours who could help if you are out all day? I know some people who work full time but hire dog walkers to walk their dogs in the day or use doggy day care.

Maybe borrow a friends dog for a day here and there and see how you manage? ;)

havent had chance to catch up on everything.
    hope everyone is ok
thankyou for your posts regarding oh operation. all is well, considering, hes up and mobile, blood presure a bit up and down and he has a slight temperature. doctor assures us that he can attend his mothers funeral tomorrow, even if it means i take him back to hospital after, so thats one less thing he, and i, have to worry about. dreaded the thought of having to leave him at the hospital on his own whilst supporting the rest of the family during the service.
your support during this difficult time has been priceless, so thankyou once again xxxxxxxxx

That must be a relief for you - will be thinking of you tomorrow

Always the 'checking my laces' technique

or my fav the 'walking with a limp' shuffle, where your foot simply happens to drag a receipt along

also known as the 'gum on my shoe' :D
Er, what about the "leaving the car park, already in the car and spotting 3 definite brand matches, so screech to a halt and jump out quickly to grab them." Yes, i did it on Sunday and it netted me £2.71 :rotfl: Every little helps
Lol, I favour the "hanging out near the trolley bay pretending I'm deep in conversation on my mobile whilst casually picking up stray receipts from a trolley" technique! :D

Years ago I nearly dislocated my shoulder trying to reach a receipt in a long line of trolleys at Tesco. I do have hypermobile joints, but was being a bit optimistic lol!
A few weeks a go I tried to step from one the back of one trolley bay into the one that backed onto it and I cracked my head really hard on a metal bar as I was bending down! :o It hurt so much that I instantly got tears in my ears, and the worst thing was that the receipt only had a couple of items on it.

WARNING! Wombling can be bad for your health!:rotfl:
Ooh,me too re: the hypermobility. As has my sister.

Lily, glad to have your update about OH's op and I hope tomorrow's funeral goes well(it's my grans on Friday :()
Sending you hugs and strength for tomorrow.

Budgie - lovely to see you posting :T

And on that brief note, I'm off to bed. Short but sweet. G'night all. x

These were mentioned in the last thread but I'd never seen them. I can see they don't use the same colours for flavours that Walkers and Golden Wonder use. What about salt'n'vinegar?

And which part of the UK was the Tesco's btw;)
