Could always return it and buy it elsewhere.

Just received ours today via TNT from Google. Handed directly to me but I haven't got a clue how it has been handled in the interim, deliberately or otherwise.

I'd report it to JL (email and/or letter) and see what they say. (You might get a goodwill gesture). If it works OK and looks otherwise undamaged then you should be OK. (I assume it was quite well packaged).

However the fact you have reported the delivery circumstances will bode well in future IF any fault arises, as you can legitimately point to that as a potential cause and JL would struggle to argue against it. :)

Thanks bod1467, I will do that first thing. Tbh, it wasnt packaged that well, just the nexus box put into a parcel bag.
  • I would report it anyway, shoddy service like that needs to be highlighted to the originator.

I would report that item has not been received. I would do that everytime a courier thought it safe to just throw into my unsecured garden.

So what purpose would that serve?

Make the sender question the delivery chain and courier. If it is repeat offender they may well take action?

Items like that have to be signed for. So the odds are that the courier has forged your signature.
So yes, you should certainly report it! And see what is shown on the Hermes tracking system:
