Low mileage isn't necessarily a good thing. It implies short, low speed journeys which wear the engine more than motorway mileage. Has it been serviced as per the manufacturer's timings?
Brought my low mileage 52 corsa sxi(so not proverty spec) for 300quid, bit real value is around 1100 to 1400 1700 is aot unless you got a lot of toys.
Agreeded about low millage better to see a higher mileage with full service history than a low mileage with no/little history.0 -
It had full service history from a Vauxhall garage, comes with a years warranty and a years tax.
My brother in law is a mechanic and went along with her and found a couple of faults which they are going to fix so hopefully it will be ok.
Pass plus... That's the one!! Thanks!!

If it's a Corsa C you'll need all the insurance you can get, the petrol models are plagued with timing chain problems; it appears the chains are not made to last the duration of the engine, which is why most Corsa C models still on the road today sound like a bag of spanners.

Good point. Timing chain went in our Vauxhall (2001 model) despite owning from new and a full Vauxhall service history. Over £1k and about 10 weeks to rebuild the engine.

I personally wouldn't touch a VX of that age with a barge pole due to their notorious cam shaft issues.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

my 18 y/o daughter passed her test last june and we decided to get her a car she was dead set on a seat arosa 1.0 as this was the cheapest to insure but ended up with a 1.1 saxo 5 door w reg got it for 600 quid and paid 762 for tpft insurance with diamond we found cars newer than the year 2000 were dearer to insure. not being a citreon fan the car is a little cracker not been any trouble maybe down to it being a one owner from new car. i was scepticle that the insurance was so cheap but all details were correct and she put on me and her mum as additional drivers and all done through compare the market with came up with diamond/ admiral / elephant as the cheapest by far so she chose the cheapest. think young kids have to choose there cars wisely think a 02 corsa 1.2 will be a good car but we found these were far dearer to insure.0
