It's like being in some insane world. I'd like to know any other business that treats its customers that way! Just to compare, I bought 2 shelves from a seller on Amazon, postage was £4.95 each. I asked if they can be packaged together to save on cost and was told no. They arrived in ONE PACKAGE despite 2 despatch notices and I did a cost check with the courier and found the cost to be £2.95. So we were charged £7 for a flimsy bit of grey plastic! Amazon confirmed this was correct and yet here Ebay are getting all high and mighty.

I think they will regret this, Gumtree here we come!

    Amazon set the postage prices
of course they would say its correct.

Do you know who owns Gumtree?

By the way op, some buyers would go as far as leaving negative if even a day late - you just can't please them all. In fact eBay seems to be a nation of nutters at times.

I'd just move on tbh and try to improve it in the future.

Ps, about 50 transactions this year would be about right. It would be nice to know when this appeared though so we know how long we have to carry on for, we might not be selling anything else for months! And the few we do won't get the figure up high enough if we have to wait a year to get the 100% back!

Go onto your feedback page, click on your seller dashboard, then click on performance then view 12 month trending data and you will see which month it was. You NEED to find a few things to sell to improve the percentage otherwise if it stays the same you will be banned.

How did you do "a cost check with the courier"? Did they tell you their customer's rate? Really? And was that £2.95 including or excluding VAT? (And if including, could you please tell me which courier because that's a great price).

Stopping selling is the worst thing you can do - your percentage will INCREASE if the low star was recent - and you will be thrown off Ebay.

I had been putting off selling some low cost items i had for years. Buy when this happened to me - i listed them all straight away -with free P&P.

The result was a quick improvement in my percentages - with little cost to myself. Once your back in the green - you can sell as before and charge for p&p again (but not as much lol).
